WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Senior Specialist, Human Resources, is an active member of the Southeast Asia (SEA) HR team, and you will provide comprehensive Human Resources support for the delivery of people initiatives for Bain’s diverse client-facing population staff. You will manage high-touch people activities across core functional areas of Human Resources to ensure delivery of high-quality service, with a high emphasis on support for regional movement of client facing members across SEA offices and globally.
You will play a key role in implementing talent initiatives and ensuring compliance to local employment laws across 6 countries within the SEA cluster. This position requires effective communication with stakeholders at various levels within the organization, given the interdependence of the talent programs with other functions. You will also partner with a team of HR professionals to deliver a strong Employee Value Proposition while exemplifying Bain’s values on teamwork and professionalism.
SEA Overall People Movement Lead
- Tracking the HR life cycle events once Bainie signs off Recruiting Offer with support from Local and APAC HR Ops team such as:
- Drive employee life cycle decisions to execution – such as milestones (promotions, work anniversaries and awards), flexible program, performance management departures and regular departures which requires close communication loops with the Professional Development (PD) team
- Engaging local ECD population to understand local and department support needed, keeping open conversations with the Vice President (Talent and Consulting Programs), to ensure ECD goes for all consulting flagship training events such as training offsites (local), flagship events like WAB and extra 10s
- Ensure various life cycle process comply with local employment practices and laws
- Ensure Workday updates ties in with Anaplan HC / Staffing BOSS / HCPD (downstream systems)
- Payroll Liaison – prepares monthly action reports + mid-year & year-end bonus calculation process for local consulting population in 5 countries, play an intermediary role with global HR teams to coordinate monthly HR payroll, year-end accruals
- Other ad-hoc – assist on all statutory audits, gifts and awards segment (inclusive of new hire gifts) + budget control
Integration and Onboarding Experience Lead
- Oversee the handover from Recruiting to HR for new hires onboarding and work closely with local Training team for local training planning (including liaising training venues and selected trainers).
- Elevate the integration experience and ensure smooth handover of the new hires to PD & Staffing Team and or Dept Heads (Expert Client Facing populations)
- Ensure accuracy of training and orientation materials
- Support budgeting planning of local training
Employee Risk/Law and Compliance
- Work closely with Senior Manager to ensure local employee documentation across 5 jurisdictions are aligned to local laws with advisory from Legal team
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors’ Degree in HR; Talent Management; Business-related fields
- 5+ years of HR experience, ideally in end-to-end HR delivery within a professional services firm
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) – you can engage with stakeholders at various levels
- Highly organized with a problem-solving mindset – you thrive in fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented and meticulous with a strong sense in numbers – comfortable handing HR analytics, reporting, and Excel
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and handle highly confidential information in a professional manner
- A team player who is passionate about creating a great employee experience
