WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join our global Financial Services (FS) practice, supporting Bain’s work in Banking, Insurance, Wealth and Asset Management, and Payments. Our team is deeply committed to advancing how we deliver strategy, transformation, and operational impact in this space, combining industry depth with cutting-edge approaches and cross-sector collaboration.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
You’ll be a key member of the Wealth & Asset Management sector team within Financial Services, supporting the Global Sector Leader to shape and execute our commercial strategy. This is a pivotal role that contributes directly to our growth and client success through intellectual leadership, selling and serving support, and operational excellence.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Practice Manager, you’ll:
- Guide CD teams on proposals, help identify relevant content in the sector and related capabilities
- Identify experts for specific client development, proposals, pitches and delivery; connect them with client heads; work with regional team on affiliates staffed
- Support proposals for priority accounts in specific areas of personal expertise; support cases / clients as relevant
- Train case teams on the sector
- Proactively suggest IP topics for the sector, including priority and resourcing required; develop perspective on competitor offerings in the sector; advocate for sector IP on the Global Product Innovation Council (PIC)
- Develop more complex pieces of sector specific IP, including multiple workstreams/topics that are related; manage team (including knowledge and BCN team apprenticeship)
- Independently tailor solution IP to the sector with guidance from the interlock champion
- Perform sales collateral buildout, e.g., briefs and videos, including outlines, examples, interview questions; work with Marketing Liaison on executing and posting to internal site
- Support Global Sector Leader in planning and progress tracking as well as affiliate engagement
- Prioritize team activities, match demand to resources in order to strike the right balance and a sustainable pace
- Contribute to team members’ professional development
- Inspire and lead by example: team members are engaged (not just satisfied)
- Coach team to adopt a very strong service orientation in everything they do
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
6–9 years of relevant experience (with Bachelor’s), or 5–6 years (with MBA/Master’s)
Experience in consulting or a wealth & asset management/professional services firm
