WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As a member of the Boston Associate Consultant Recruiting team, the Recruiting Specialist will assist in the development, planning, and execution of all Boston Associate Consultant Recruiting efforts, including Associate Consultant Intern (ACI), full-time Associate Consultant hiring, Industry, and recruiting programs including BEL, CREW, and First Forward.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The Specialist, Associate Consultant Recruiting, will support the Boston Associate Consultant Recruiting team in managing undergraduate recruiting efforts, candidate engagement, program execution, and large-scale recruiting operations. This role partners closely with internal consulting teams, campus stakeholders, and candidates to ensure seamless execution of recruiting strategies and programs across targeted undergraduate schools and recruiting initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- School Ownership
- Manage the recruiting relationship between Bain and local undergraduate targeted schools.
- Collaborate with internal school team leaders to develop campus-specific strategies. Represent the recruiting department in planning meetings and provide support as needed.
- Support the primary marketing strategy at targeted campuses. Coordinate Bain attendance in addition to working with career services to schedule presentations, fairs, receptions and dinners. Serve as the primary liaison between campus career centers and Bain, overseeing communication with candidates.
- Manage candidate relationships for targeted undergraduate schools including attending marketing events, managing the candidate selection process and tracking all candidate information.
- Coordinate and serve as point person for large scale interview days for Bain’s Northeast offices. Responsibilities include organizing and staffing interview schedules, coordinating candidate travel, greeting candidates, leading debrief sessions and recording detailed notes during interviews.
- Program and Event Management
- Have significant impact in the design and execution of the Associate Consultant Intern (ACI) and Associate Consultant Offeree Weekends. Manage consulting staff attendance, external communications to candidates, confirm hotel blocks, and liaise with various vendors. This might include weekend work 1-2 weekends a year.
- Play a large role in the execution of the Associate Consultant Intern (ACI) Program by assigning and communicating with mentor teams, check-in with each ACI from managed schools multiple times throughout summer, plan various events for the ACIs as well as combined Summer Associate/ACI events.
- Support the Connecting and Resourcing Empowered Women (CREW) and Building Entrepreneurial Leaders (BEL) programs, managing consulting staff participation, travel, onboarding, training and events.
- Assist in the Event Planner process by staffing consultants to a large number of recruiting efforts including marketing, interview and program events in Avature.
- Other Support
- Provide clear and timely responses to both recruits and consulting staff involved in all recruiting processes.
- Actively participate in team meetings and schedule follow-up meetings as necessary.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or as responsibilities dictate.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, preferably in a professional services firm. Two plus years of related experience preferred.
- Education
- BA/BS degree required.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), problem solving, customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to deal appropriately with highly-confidential information in a professional manner.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Ability to work independently, as well as within teams.
- PC experience - proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database skills.
- Flexibility with hours; ability to work overtime and evenings as needed.
U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
In Massachusetts, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $67,000 - $80,000.
Annual discretionary performance bonus
This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
