Position Summary
In this role, the incumbent will provide HR business partnering support for the delivery of people initiatives for Bain’s consulting staff across Southeast Asia. The individual will work with a team of HR professionals to deliver a convincing Employee Value Proposition while exemplifying Bain’s values on teamwork and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering:
- Administer customized Professional Development (PD) initiatives for consulting staff by creating, tracking and providing support for the consulting body, including mentor pairings, regular performance checks
- Process and coordinate Bain flex programs (Leave of Absence, Externships, Business School sponsorships, etc.) including drawing up of agreements and deeds.
- Take an active role in coordinating People Council (leadership) meetings, preparing & updating pre-meeting materials/dashboards, note, share and track next steps
- Advise and guide employees on relevant HR and PD policies
- Maintain regular engagement of stakeholders – including PD Managers, extended PD Team (Class Captains)
- Work closely with internal HR operations team to ensure smooth transition of various outcomes/decisions - in alignment to HR policies, to necessary administrative follow-ups
Performance Review:
- Work together with the PD team to run the bi-annual performance calibration work stream end-to-end with the SEA PD Lead, including preparation of the calibration materials for the Consulting Leadership team and work through the compensation planning cycle which includes compensation administration after the review cycle.
- Take an active role in running the end-to-end process for Upward Feedback (UF) collection from preparing nomination lists, monitoring responses, ensuring delinquent review writers, to preparing the individual results
- Front/ lead discussions with Staffing team to ensure accurate reporting of employee/staff allocation dates on cases
- Quality check performance reviews based on local guidelines and escalate reviews containing performance issues and/or not written according to Bain standards.
- Updating and upkeep of performance review excel dashboard
People Analytics:
- To support HR/PD leadership team with human capital excel reports and analysis (for eg tracking of people movement – new hires, attrition, flex program users, weekly case team survey results) via regular updates, proactively flagging observed trends/outliers and providing recommendations on feasible follow-up actions
- Regular and accurate upkeep of dashboard, managing data from multiple sources
- Preparation of monthly reports to different office stakeholders
Other duties:
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or as responsibilities dictate, including backup cover for other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree with minimum 5 years of HR experience
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills
