WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Research and Data Services (RDS) is a team of information professionals who specialize in secondary research and work alongside Bain’s consulting teams to provide high quality results for our clients, some of the most successful and pioneering businesses in the world.

You will join a multi-cultural team of 19 people based in Paris, Milan, Madrid, and Dubai. You will be reporting to a Senior Manager located in Paris.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

As a research expert within Research and Data Services (RDS) you will provide desk research to consulting staff and practice areas using an extended portfolio of traditional and alternative electronic sources. 

You will work closely with multiple consulting teams to assist in research planning, training, information gathering and delivery. A full onboarding program will be tailored for you.

Initially, you will cover a broad range of commercial, multi-industry and economic topics to build your knowledge. You will then be specialized in one industry. (ie: Consumer Products/Retail, Technology/Media/Telecoms, Financial Services, etc…)

Working as part of an EMEA/Global industry team will enable you to develop expert-level knowledge in that sector. Throughout your career, you will receive coaching and participate in various training programs.

You will also participate in ongoing product and service evaluations, and resource development activities including their implementation.
 
 The successful candidate will be a team player who enjoys learning opportunities and new challenges and thrives in a fast-paced environment. She/He should demonstrate a tech-savvy attitude and be able to adapt to a rapidly evolving technological role. (AI, web scrapping, etc...)

 

 

ABOUT YOU 

  • Degree in Information Science, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent
  • Two+ years’ work experience in business information research in a consulting, financial services, accounting, or equivalent firm is preferred. 
  • Fluency in French and English required. Italian or Spanish is a plus.
  • Basic experience with Factiva, Refinitiv and other standard business research tools preferred.
  • Can-do attitude, an initiative-taking approach, and a strong desire to learn new skills.
  • Analytical mindset, critical thinking skills and attention to details
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a professional, customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with senior business executives and team colleagues across the region in French and English
