WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

The Senior HR Specialist independently administers and coordinates core HR programs for Mexico, serving as a key point of contact for employees, leadership, and regional stakeholders. The role is responsible for managing end-to-end HR processes, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple HR disciplines. Teaming with other HR and Talent colleagues will be core to the job.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Ownership of Mexico transfer program for inbound and outbound transferees and Former Employees (FEMPs); understand and communicate policies to employees and Staffing team; liaise with Global Mobility team, coordinate inbound transfer onboarding, affiliation and living arrangements, escalate tricky issues to supervisor and Global Mobility as needed, track budget, complete all relevant paperwork and Workday entry.  
  • Manage the end-to-end process for the Externship program; serve as expert on process, policies and manage all communications/documentation with employee and Staffing team
    • Prepare program documentation and agreements
    • Coordinate and collect required signatures, including those from external companies
    • Process and track employee movements in Workday
  • Provide performance evaluation and promotion process support for General Consulting and Functional Professional employees including:
    • Partner with Program Management team on supporting the ratings and calibration process and coordination of promotion committees
    • Ensure reviews are completed and delivered once approved; ensure performance management check-ins are occurring and processes are occurring according to regional policy guidelines
    • Coordinate and manage PD Advisor assignments
    • Support coordination of performance evaluation communications, evaluation meeting materials, et.
    • Own HR logistics for promotion processes ensuring collaboration with the Global HR Ops team and that important deadlines are met
    • Act as the primary point of contact for Functional Professionals supervisors and regional teams to complete the review cycle process effectively
  • Administer and manage local office programs and employee benefits, including:
    • Process insurance transactions (new hires, terminations, newborns, etc.)
    • Maintain employee benefits data in Workday
    • Act as the primary point of contact with the local medical insurance broker
    • Manage employee benefits questions, escalating complex cases and following up to resolution
    • Support the implementation of improvements to benefits programs and processes
    • Deliver induction presentations for new hires
    • Lead and coordinate the annual renewal process
  • Own departures process for General Consulting and Functional Professional employees including sharing policies, conduct exit interviews, calculation and process relevant departure bonuses and payouts, coordinate with HR Ops team and codify exit interview data on quarterly basis.
  • Prepare materials and support monthly HR LT Team meetings, including collecting feedback and preparing materials
  • Lead and administer consulting staff year-end compensation processes, including bonus calculation, profit sharing and ongoing compensation updates, including monthly click-ups
  • Oversee Offer to Return and tuition sponsorship process, including policy clarification, collaboration between schools and Accounts Payable, manage communication with employees post departure from Bain while on educational leave of absence.  
  • Lead monthly payments with Payroll department, including ensuring Workday transactions and requesting documentation form employees 
  • Lead other HR projects as required 

ABOUT YOU

  • BA in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years’ experience in Human Resources, ideally within a consulting or professional services environment
  • Solid understanding of HR processes, including compensation, benefits, and performance management
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, preferably Workday
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and large data sets
  • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and support reporting needs
  • Strong English skills, written and spoken
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills, strong customer service skills at all levels of the company
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of cross functional teams
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, multitask, and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented mindset with a high level of accuracy and accountability
  • This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 4 days per week
