WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As a Senior Specialist, you will be a key member of the Global Results Services (GRS) HR and Talent team, collaborating closely with:

  • HR Program Management
  • Recruiting
  • Centers of Excellence (CoEs)
  • HR Operations
  • Office leadership teams

You will also serve as a trusted advisor to employees—providing guidance and partnership that ensures a consistent, high-quality HR experience across the board.

 

 

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The Senior Specialist operates as a high-touch HR Generalist, with a focus on Bain's Finance/Accounting and Marketing Groups. This role blends operational expertise with strategic project leadership, working in tandem with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to ensure alignment with firm policies and delivery of talent programs across the employee lifecycle.

Key areas of ownership include:

  • Onboarding and offboarding
  • Performance management
  • Mobility and immigration
  • Compensation processes
  • Internal people movement and workforce planning

You’ll bring structure, continuity, and HR best practices to support business priorities in a dynamic and matrixed environment.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Senior Specialist, you will provide operational support and lead initiatives across the HR function. Key responsibilities include:

 

HR Operations & Support

  • Deliver HR services across the employee lifecycle for designated GRS functions and service lines
  • Partner with stakeholders to manage day-to-day employee relations and operational requests
  • Ensure consistent execution of HR policies and process improvements

 

Policy & Risk Management

  • Interpret and apply HR policies; escalate issues as needed
  • Maintain consistency and mitigate risk in talent-related decisions
  • Recommend and implement solutions that support fair and effective outcomes

 

Data Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to surface trends and drive data-informed decisions
  • Create reports and insights that support talent strategies and project delivery

 

Talent Projects & Initiatives

  • Lead specific talent projects within the GRS HR and Talent team or for assigned customer groups
  • Ensure smooth execution and alignment with firm-wide priorities

 

 

ABOUT YOU
You are a detail-oriented, collaborative HR professional with strong judgment and a passion for people. The ideal candidate will possess:

 

Associate or Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience and 3-5 years of professional work experience in Human Resources. Experience working in a professional services environment preferred
 

  • Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail
    • High discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
    • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret and leverage HR data
    • Strong customer service orientation
    • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to changing business needs
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Advanced Excel skills preferred
    • Experience with Workday is a plus

U.S. Compensation Information

 

Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).

 

Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:

 

  • In Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $74,000 - $82,000 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level 

 

  • Annual discretionary performance bonus 


This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation 

  • 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
