WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM


The Senior Specialist, Learning and Development, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will act as central member of the DEI Center of Excellence by driving important core projects within Learning and Development team. Duties will include working with the team’s Senior Director to scope/plan efforts and to lead the execution of end-to-end projects or processes related to learning and development priorities (including but not limited to curriculum design, leadership engagement, training delivery, and metrics measurement / reporting). 


Projects will be executed independently as well as in collaboration with colleagues within the team and outside of it (e.g., Regional DEI Leads, DEI Champions, Global Training, BEST, etc.).  Projects will incorporate strategic, analytic, operational and communications components and require the individual to draw on an understanding of DEI and of Bain's strategy, operating model, and culture.



WHAT YOU’LL DO


  • Collaborate with Senior Director in scoping and executing multiple strategic programs and projects, including curriculum design, metrics tracking and reporting, and priority content development; play key role in securing buy-in/alignment from senior stakeholders (e.g., EVP of DEI COE, Chief Diversity Officer, Regional DEI Leads, etc.)
  • Maintain the underlying ‘operations’ of all projects (including L&D project management plan & calendar, training request and delivery trackers, trainer community lists, etc.) to ensure we stay on track, identify required changes, flag roadblocks, and report on progress to senior stakeholders 
  • Create error-free and compelling project-related materials and communications within the team and across the firm and develop / refined learning and development content aligned with industry trends, firm strategy, and core learning objectives
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders outside of COE team (DEI Champions, BEST, Global Training) as a visible owner of these projects and a thought partner on their work
  • Understand key trends in learning and development (broadly and DEI-specific) outside of Bain (especially at competitors) and what this means for Bain 
  • Demonstrate a high level of autonomy and ownership to drive workstreams, including analytics, to deliver key insights that inform learning and development efforts 



ABOUT YOU


Bain is looking for individuals with strong business sense and practical expertise.  Successful candidates must have:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a talent management role that includes a focus on DEI, particularly related to learning and development or internal facing initiatives
  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of key diversity, equity, and inclusion topics in corporate environments
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to generate insights, to translate insights into powerful materials and communications, and to present content to senior level stakeholders
  • Excellent project and program management skills, with ability juggle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive results
  • Innovative and strategic thinker, with the ability to research, analyze, and develop and implement best practices
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, and resourceful, with high professionalism 
  • Ability to work productively, both independently and as part of a global team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills


U.S. Compensation Information 


Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below). 


Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows: 


In California state, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $79,500 - $104,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level.


For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level 


  •  Annual discretionary performance bonus  
  • This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation 
  • 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
