Position Summary:

The Senior Engineer will work on development and execution of an infrastructure platform that delivers secure, reliable, and scalable services. They will leverage their significant expertise in public cloud providers, infrastructure as code, automation, and data analytics to create modern, cloud-based solutions. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with teams both within and outside of the organization to provide world-class services. They must be adaptable, eager to learn, and focused on delivering results. In addition to platform and solution delivery responsibilities, the Senior Engineer will also play a key role in identifying areas for continuous improvement and implementing best practices.

Essential Functions:

Infrastructure Engineering (80%)

• Contributes to expert issue resolution or requests as an escalation point for complex, unique or difficult issues and requests
• Independently generates code or manually deploys services for unique, complex or new use cases
• Independently creates modules, templates or scripts that can automate new use cases
• Lead coordination and execution to better optimize or secure cloud environments
• Independent development of collaboration and coordination with leadership and peers on improvements or potential technical debt
• Analyze and support implementation of cloud and hybrid datacenter technologies to support the platform
• Mentor and support junior team members effectively

Hybrid/Cloud Operations (20%) 

• Independently manages escalated, complex support issues at an expert level
• Identifies trends to better optimize or secure private, hybrid, or public cloud environments at an expert level to industry best practices
• Communicates and collaborates with customers at an expert level

Qualifications :

Experience:

• 5-7 Years of full-time experience ; Individual Contributor
• Familiarity with Generative AI, Databases, data engineering, data science or business intelligence technology
• Track record of applying automation to all aspects of technical operations
• Expertise with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure or GCP) or private datacenter management
• Experience with scripting, infrastructure as code and automation languages and tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, PowerShell and Python)
• Experience with CI/CD processes, code reviews, code deployments and pipelines
• Experience with logging and monitoring solutions such as Datadog, Grafana and Prometheus
• Experience with containers, Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with public cloud landing zone architectures
• Experience with identity solutions such as Active Directory, AzureAD, Okta or LDAP
• Experience with Go or Python for cloud platform and infrastructure API automation
• Experience with Hashicorp Cloud Platform (Terraform & Vault)
