WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join our Product Management & Innovation experts within the AI, Insights & Solutions (AIS) team, which includes a group of experts in analytics, engineering, product management, user research, and design. Together, we create human-centric solutions that leverage the power of data and artificial intelligence to drive competitive advantage for our clients.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Senior Associate in Product Management & Innovation, you’ll work on integrated teams alongside our general consultants and clients to support the development of omnichannel solutions across a wide range of industries and problems. You’ll help translate strategic vision into tangible outcomes and guide cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, feasible, and client-aligned experiences, products, and businesses—while advising on innovation and product strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Apply human-centered design principles to drive user-centric innovation
- Use human-centered design to uncover user needs and pain points through research
- Turn those insights into user stories and design opportunities that shape the product vision
- Take part in ideation, journey mapping, and service design workshops to co-create with users and stakeholders
- Collaborate on prototyping and testing, while applying strategic thinking to form hypotheses and insights
Support the delivery of POCs, MVPs, and products
- Work closely with Bain teams and clients to understand business challenges
- Support the delivery of product features and MVPs using agile methods and human-centered design principles
- You’ll contribute to product decisions by synthesizing user, business, and technical insights into clear product requirements documents and user stories
Contribute to product planning and roadmap execution
- Effectively translate complex technical concepts into clear and non-technical language for clients and cross-functional teams
- Leverage business and user insights to identify and evaluate potential product roadmap opportunities, articulating associated tradeoffs
Contribute to a collaborative, inspired team environment
- Be a positive contributor on the team
- You’ll build trust in working relationships across Bain and client teams by adapting quickly and engaging consistently
Support capability building and knowledge sharing
- Keep building your skills in human-centered design, agile, technical fluency (e.g., how products are built and scaled), and innovation-driven product management
- You’ll help advance our internal Product Management and Innovation initiatives, and help capture tools, processes, learnings from insights from client work to share across the team
- Maintain a curious and proactive mindset, adopting emerging tools and technologies to boost your expertise, productivity, and enhance team outcomes.
- Travel is required (20%)
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in business, technology, or a relevant field
- 3–4 years of professional experience, ideally within a top-tier consulting firm and/or with exposure to software architecture, software development, developing data pipelines, etc.
- Familiarity with either the four lenses framework (feasibility, viability, desirability, strategy) comfortable applying a feasibility lens with guidance OR awareness of the use of insights to guide decisions that balance business value, reliable and stable technical solutions, user alignment, and alignment with business strategy; comfortable applying technical solutions, with guidance
- Working knowledge of product management in software development; some exposure to AI-driven products
- Experience using Gen-AI powered product development tools (e.g., Synthetic Users, V0, Loveable, etc.)
- Familiarity with design thinking principles; has contributed to or supported design thinking workshops
- Ability to explain basic technical components of products worked on, with support when needed
- Ability to interpret technical information with a basic understanding of modern design and development principles
- Awareness of agile project management methodology and Scrum
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain and discuss approaches and technicalities of solutions with colleagues and clients from other disciplines
- Curiosity, proactivity and critical thinking
- Ability to collaborate with people at all levels and with multi-office/region teams
U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In Georgia, Texas, Massachusetts, and Illinois; the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $121,875 - $131,775
- In New York, District of Columbia, Washington, and California; the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $138,875 - $149,975
Placement within these ranges will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date

For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
