WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The Senior Analyst, Enterprise Innovation, sits within Tech Solutions and is responsible for leading smaller, less-ambiguous innovations end-to-end and supporting larger, more-ambiguous innovations, from ideation and incubation, prototype and funding, and finally to scaling and steady-state transition.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This role will work with cross-functional stakeholders to help ensure solutions meet customer needs and business objectives. The Senior Analyst will leverage business acumen, an understanding of Bain business concepts, and at-cause approach to learning new technologies to tactically execute rapid innovation sprints. This position requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and the ability to lead the management of smaller innovation projects and support more senior team members with complex initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity Discovery (~33%)
- Participate in early discovery phases of potential software opportunities
- Assist with problem discovery and validation, market scan, and partnership evaluation
- Contribute to solution ideation, PoC definition, and test and learn activities
- Help translate business goals into product concepts using design thinking, lean start-up philosophy, and agile delivery methods
Solution Discovery & Product Design (~33%)
- Assist innovation manager in software solution discovery (e.g. creation of low/no-code prototypes through third-party platforms), owning parts or workstreams of the process
- Assess the needs of target users through research methodologies
- Translate user needs into a product concept and wireframes with detailed requirements
- Coordinate with appropriate team(s) for product design as needed
- Collaborate with the innovation sponsor, architecture, and engineering to define and assess options for software delivery approach
Product Development (~33%)
- Support the innovation manager in leading a cross-functional technical team
- Contribute to software development process utilizing internal resources or working with vendors
- Collaborate with virtual teams operating across different time zones
- Engage in tasks such as building proof-of-concept prototypes, creating minimum viable products
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition from pilot to full-scale production, including technical integration, security, scalable infrastructure, and operations
ABOUT YOU
Hybrid: This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 1 day per week.
- Associate's/Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 2-4+ years of relevant professional experience; B2B early-stage product management experience building products from conception to launch
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Strong thought partner, successful in collaborating with peers to come up with the best answer
- Self-stater, able to spot issues that need to be addressed and take action with comfort working independently and/or remotely from supervisors in a fast-paced environment
- Able to understand the big picture and how the details fit into place
- Curiosity and passion for bringing new ideas to life, able to navigate ambiguity and ask questions to drive clarity, willing to embrace change that sometimes comes with disruptive nature of new ideas
- Able to effectively share information digestibly across stakeholder groups with excellent oral, written, and PowerPoint communication skills
- Invest in building both business and technical acumen, or order to effectively position the value of a solution for a particular audience
- Proven ability to work effectively in diverse and distributed teams, across all levels within Bain
U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In Boston, MA, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $108,250 - $130,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- In Chicago, IL, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $103,500-$124,250; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
