POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Analyst, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), plays a critical role within Bain & Company’s Enterprise Risk Management team, ensuring execution and continuity of ERM initiatives. The role focuses on strengthening Bain’s risk culture, enhancing enterprise risk reporting, supporting governance and risk appetite articulation, and advancing the maturity of the firm’s risk ecosystem.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management, the Senior Analyst collaborates closely with key stakeholders across Legal, Human Capital, Global Safety and Security, Cybersecurity, and other functions to support effective risk identification, assessment, and decision-making.

This role contributes to the development and maintenance of the enterprise risk framework, conducts in-depth risk analyses, supports risk governance forums, and prepares materials that communicate risk status, emerging trends, and mitigation strategies. The Senior Analyst also supports continuous improvement in risk governance, documentation, and knowledge management to ensure Bain operates within a robust, proactive, and well-articulated risk framework.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Principal Accountabilities

Enterprise Risk Framework & Analysis

    Support the ongoing development and refinement of Bain’s enterprise risk framework, including documentation of risk principles, methodologies, and standards in alignment with Bain’s strategy, governance model, and evolving risk priorities.

    Conduct enterprise-level risk analysis by synthesizing internal and external risk data to identify emerging themes and trends.

    Support scenario analysis, country risk assessments, and emerging risk deep dives.

    Translate risk insights into clear implications and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.

Risk Reporting & Executive Materials

    Support preparation of risk reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership and risk committees.

    Partner with stakeholders to enhance consistent reporting structures that provide clear visibility into enterprise risk themes, trends, and priority initiatives.

    Contribute to the standardization of ERM reporting to improve consistency, comparability, and executive usability.

    Support preparation of materials for risk governance forums and leadership discussions.

Governance, Policy & Decision Support

    Work with internal stakeholders to embed risk awareness into decision-making across key business functions.

    Assist in drafting and maintaining ERM-related policies, standards, and guidelines as the function evolves.

    Support development and maintenance of risk governance documentation, including clarification of roles, ownership, and escalation paths within the ERM governance model.

Stakeholder Engagement & Knowledge Management

    Engage with key stakeholders to gather insights, support alignment on risk priorities, and contribute to discussions on the evolution of ERM within the organization.

    Contribute to ERM knowledge management by documenting key risk decisions, assumptions, and lessons learned to support continuity and organizational maturity.

ERM Technology & Tooling

    Support implementation and ongoing enhancement of ERM technology tools, including enterprise risk reporting, country risk analysis, and incident management systems.

    Translate ERM needs into clear business requirements, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and partner with Technology Services Group (TSG) on delivery.

    Assist with project coordination and delivery activities, including agile ways of working where applicable.

ABOUT YOU

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    3–5 years of relevant experience in risk management or a related field. Applications from diverse backgrounds, including those transitioning into risk, are encouraged.

    Demonstrated ability to approach problems in a logical and structured way, breaking down complex topics into clear, coherent analyses and insights.

    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in analysis and reporting.

    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information concisely to senior stakeholders.

    Good understanding of risk management methodologies, processes, and best practices.

    Proficiency in using data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.

    Ability to apply risk concepts within governance and decision-making contexts.

    Comfort working with risk data, dashboards, and structured qualitative inputs.

Qualifications

    Master’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., FRM, CRM) are a plus.

    Fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus.

    Experience in professional services, consulting, or matrixed organizations is a plus
