The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services. 


WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH:

This role is based in the Vector Center of Excellence (Vector CoE), part of Bain’s broader “Data & Technology” umbrella within the BCN. The Vector CoE provides specialized support on Tech Strategy, Transformation, and Roadmap projects for Bain clients across industries. The Vector CoE team acts as the analytical and delivery arm of Bain’s ET Practice, providing expertise in:

  • Building and deploying Enterprise Technology diagnostics
  • Delivering core technology products for consulting teams
  • Working directly with clients to support technology transformations
  • Integrating new and emerging technologies such as AI and automation into diagnostics

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Build expertise on existing tools to guide case teams appropriately and help develop newer solutions for the ET Practice
  • Quickly develop knowledge on different diagnostics/ solutions within Bain ET team as well as the clients managed by own team, helping them cater to multiple stakeholders on a daily basis
  • Work under the guidance of a Team Manager / Sr. Team Manager, playing a key role in driving the team’s overall answer and final materials, client communication, work planning, and team management
  • Provide thought leadership and sound business judgment to drive innovation, product ideation and development
  • Lead a team of 2-4 analysts/associates, providing guidance on best practices and methodologies
  • Display strong execution ability along with the ability to delegate appropriately to Analysts & Associates.
  • Display strong ability to pressure-test insights and conduct thorough validation and sense checks
  • Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations
  • Ensure timely, high quality, zero-defect delivery, analysis and output produced by the analysts/associates
  • Ability to deliver client-ready outputs with actionable, implementable solutions
  • Display excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, driving teams toward practical and pragmatic solutions
  • Deliver clear and professional presentations to the team/team leaders/managers/ clients
  • Consistently seek and provide meaningful and actionable feedback in all interactions; recognize different skills and development needs in oneself and work towards it


ABOUT YOU:

  • Be post-graduate/ MBA with strong academic records and minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Ideal candidates have a strong consulting mindset and have contributed to client-facing engagements in areas such as technology cost optimization across cloud services, infrastructure, vendor contracts, and software applications
  • Deep understanding of IT cost structures, including labor, infrastructure, licensing, cloud, and support
  • Expertise in FinOps, TCO modeling, and IT cost transparency frameworks
  • Prior experience with managing small teams (2-4 members) and coaching & mentoring team members is a must
  • Have a good hold over Excel, PowerPoint, Alteryx and other analytical tools
  • Possess advanced numerical and modeling skills, with a strong focus on maintaining high data quality standards
  • Be good with breaking business objectives into smaller tasks and building project plans
  • Possess excellent analytic, communication, and team player skills with ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • You’ll help design and deploy scalable technology solutions, leveraging advanced LLMs, and implement autonomous agents to drive measurable business value
