Description & Requirements

WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK
We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work. We are currently the #1 ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have maintained a spot in the top four on Glassdoor’s list since its founding in 2009.

Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don’t happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role is part of the Professional Development (PD) and Staffing Talent team in London, working collaboratively with Talent partners across HR, Training, PEG Staffing, and PD Operations. You’ll also engage daily with our General Consulting population and the wider Consulting leadership team, with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the EMEA region.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a key part of Bain London’s PD & Staffing engine, you’ll team with the Cohort Lead to support the day-to-day staffing and professional development of a specific consultant cohort. You’ll help allocate the right individuals to the right projects—balancing business needs with the growth, development, and well-being of each consultant. You'll also take ownership of the full PD cycle for your group and maintain our core systems and processes with rigorous attention to detail.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Your responsibilities will span staffing, professional development, and core talent operations:

  • Build relationships with consultants to understand their development needs, preferences, and case aspirations

  • Prepare staffing recommendations in collaboration with the Cohort Lead

  • Attend and contribute to weekly PD and staffing meetings

  • Track performance concerns and recommend staffing or PD solutions

  • Support new joiner staffing, including integration and onboarding

  • Maintain data accuracy in key systems (e.g., capacity whiteboards, boss coding, revenue tracking)

  • Deliver high-quality PD processes across promotions, reviews, feedback, and compensation cycles

  • Provide hands-on support with case reviews, click-ups, upward feedback, and LOA/global transfer queries

  • Monitor development areas and identify training or improvement interventions

  • Partner closely with the HRBP on employee relations matters

  • Step in to provide surge support to the broader team as needed

ABOUT YOU
You’re someone who thrives in a high-touch, fast-paced, and people-centered environment. You bring a sharp attention to detail, a calm and empathetic approach, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while supporting a critical talent population.

Required qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a staffing, PD, HR, or similar talent role (internal or external)

  • Exceptional communication skills across all levels

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities

  • High EQ, judgment, and the ability to act with empathy and discretion

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in professional services or consulting

  • Familiarity with Bain’s talent model or previous success in Bain Talent roles

Personal attributes:

  • Collaborative and proactive team player

  • Approachable, confident, and professional presence

  • Able to manage ambiguity and deliver zero-defect outputs

  • Discreet, reliable, and responsive in a high-stakes environment
