About the Role
Bain is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Marketing Operations Intern to support our global marketing department. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Marketing Operations, the Marketing Operations intern will support the department’s content management system, department ways of working and connectivity, and Editorial processes. This internship provides hands-on experience with marketing platforms and exposure to the operational side of global content management. You’ll work closely with seasoned marketing professionals and gain insight into how content, systems, and processes work together to support business strategy. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and eager to learn.
Eligibility:
• A full time students during the 2026-2027 school year with an interest in operations or marketing
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (Optimizely, Kapost, etc.) a plus
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Strong interest in learning new tools and platforms
• Great communicator with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Allocation of Time
• 50% – CMP platform support
• 25% – Marketing Operations support
• 25% – Editorial team support
Key Responsibilities
The Marketing Operations Intern will support a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
CMP Support (Kapost and Optimizely) – 50%
• Support administrative tasks for all Marketing teams, including managing @mention groups, maintaining up-to-date user lists, creating and maintaining custom fields, content types, workflows, and managing content and form permissions.
• Support Kapost pipeline upkeep for detail and date accuracy (e.g., Editorial updates, Practice Marketing campaign pipelines).
• Maintain the Market Reputation SharePoint site by updating links, addressing user questions, and ensuring information accuracy.
• Support ad-hoc Kapost administrative needs such as calendar sharing, idea-to-content type conversions, workflow updates, and system troubleshooting.
• Attend Optimizely admin demos and trainings to gain understanding of the CMP
Marketing Operations Support – 25%
• Help support the Marketing Training Program, including:
- Manage cohort-specific Teams channels and distribution lists (adding/removing members as needed for hires, departures and promotions).
- Edit and prepare training recordings to submit to Springboard for publishing.
- Track attendance numbers during trainings and update training details in Kapost records
• Help organize and maintain the Marketing Assistant GPT file system (improving file naming conventions and keeping documents accurate and user-friendly).
Editorial Team Support – 25%
• Update and verify publish dates and other workflow tasks and details in Kapost records.
• Close out Editorial records post-publication, confirming author information, Bain.com tags, URLs, administrative tags, and task completion dates.
• Oversee the NPS survey process for published content, including generating survey links and emails, tracking responses in Qualtrics, and providing regular reports to Editorial leadership team.
U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes an hourly rate.
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated hourly rate for this role is $26 - $28 per hour. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level.
