WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As Senior Manager, Market Reputation for the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland), you will play a key role in building Bain’s brand and strengthening its presence across the region. This role is responsible for executing impactful marketing programs that enhance our visibility with senior executives, business communities, and top-tier talent, reinforcing Bain’s position as a leading consulting partner and employer of choice.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
You’ll work in close collaboration with the Director of Market Reputation and Nordic leadership to tailor global strategies to the regional context and ensure execution is aligned with commercial objectives. You will be responsible for managing a variety of marketing activities, including digital campaigns, thought leadership distribution, events, media outreach, and alumni engagement—adapting global content and channels to ensure relevance and resonance in local markets.
In this role, you’ll manage a small team of marketers, coordinate across internal stakeholders, and lead external vendor relationships to ensure high-quality delivery. You’ll bring strong project management skills, creativity, and a test-and-learn mindset to improve performance and evolve our approach over time. A successful candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, with a collaborative approach and a passion for delivering impactful marketing that drives business value.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop Market Reputation strategy for Nordics
- Build marketing strategy and define supporting initiatives in collaboration with Nordics leadership to build brand awareness and develop relationships among senior business leaders and communities
- Develop view on optimal mix of topics/activities to further Market Reputation effectiveness
- Proactively suggest ways to collaborate with and leverage Practice Marketing, Account Marketing, and Centre of Excellence initiatives, resources, and tools
- Manage the budget, annual planning process, and ongoing process improvement
- Lead metrics discipline across marketing and stakeholders to implement a test and learn approach that informs program evolution and performance improvement
- Manage data collection of local market intelligence, track performance against defined targets, and evaluate performance on an ongoing basis
- Identify, prioritise, and project manage marketing campaigns and supporting activities
- Leverage and adapt global and regional campaigns as relevant
- Identify and activate 3rd party partnerships, sponsorships & events that support global priorities
- Manage local partner and vendor relationships
- Own and leverage digital assets and channels: web content, partner profiles, LinkedIn bios, content distribution, etc.
- Plan and execute Market Reputation activities, to potentially include
- Digital Marketing and Social Media: Oversee local digital content and campaigns (organic and paid) that leverage global efforts to effectively reach target audiences, lead development and distribution of local social media content & campaigns, including defining and tracking campaign KPIs
- PR & External Communications: Together with global PR team manage PR activities to establish and grow Bain’s presence in influential business media, manage collaboration with general media and premium publications. Help frontline Nordic leaders build a public profile focused on expertise. Manage participation in relevant market studies and rankings.
- Third Party Partnerships, Conferences & Bain Events: Identify potential partnerships, create and lead activation plans and Bain-hosted events to support priority campaigns and narratives.
- Editorial: Tailor global content to local community needs, distribute in local markets, and manage any local agencies and providers
- Brand & Creative: Adapt content to the Nordics business community, create/edit/distribute, and strengthen reputation and brand perception across the Nordics
- Digital Mailings and CRM: Use firm email marketing offerings to reach imperative segments, manage and maintain local contacts/influencers
- Alumni: Develop alumni engagement strategy, including communications and events that leverage existing commercial priority activities.
- Manage a team of marketers to ensure understanding of Bain’s business, expertise development in most critical channels and application that supports firm objectives.
- Develop and deploy team resources in support of strategy, helping to prioritise and define clear roles, responsibilities and KPIs for team.
- Ensure approach consistent with marketing ways of working, leveraging technologies, assets, and expertise across the organisation
- Provide coaching as a subject matter expert, professional development and ensure sense of affiliation
- Demonstrate Bain operating principles
- Cross Functional Coordination:
- Effectively communicate externally and across all levels of the organisation internally, to build promoter relationships within office or functional area
- Work collaboratively with other Marketing functions to ensure plans are aligned/complementary to achieve firm goals
- Represent Marketing within the local office/cluster, and represent office/cluster within wider Marketing network
ABOUT YOU
Education
- Postgraduate degree in business/marketing/ communications/social sciences, focus on marketing
Required Experience
- B2B marketing experience including thought leadership exec engagement programs
- Track record of successfully managing marketing projects from ideation to completion including defining scope, setting deadlines, allocating resources, cross functional coordination and communication, reporting and delivering impactful results.
- Highly collaborative with a client-centric mindset.
- Proven people management experience, successfully developing others, thriving a coaching role
Preferred Experience
- Consulting or professional services industry experience
- Professional services marketing experience, or other sector(s) with content marketing focus will also be considered
- Experience in digital marketing, organic and paid social media
- Media agency experience, or previous experience building & executing media strategies in a B2B context
- Experience leading employer branding initiatives
Knowledge & Skills
- Broad expertise and experience in B2B marketing programs and processes
- Ability to proactively conceive and suggest new approaches and solutions, influence senior leaders on key strategic issues
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, multi-tasking and prioritising as needed
- Experience of working with 3rd party providers and external agencies & vendors
- Ability to understand and work with consulting content and thought leadership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in English, Nordic language competency a plus
