WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As a Product Owner / Product Manager within our Technology & Shared Services Group (TSG), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering tools that improve how our teams operate across the firm. You'll represent the voice of the customer, ensuring that product backlogs are delivered on to deliver maximum business value with minimal friction for end users.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Product Planning & Stakeholder Engagement (50%)
- Translate the high-level roadmap from the Product Manager into actionable work plans
- Collaborate with key business and technical stakeholders to stay aligned on roadmap priorities
- Understand customer segments and build deep insight into their goals and product usage
- Measure customer value and product success using pilots, sprint reviews, KPIs, and more
- Partner closely with other Product Owners across Bain to drive synergies and streamline user experience
Product Delivery (40%)
- Inspire teams by articulating a compelling product vision and purpose
- Manage and continually drive delivery when the product backlog is reprioritized to support business value
- Work with internal and third-party tech teams to deliver continuous enhancements and platform improvements
- Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria (for internal tools) and actively engage in Agile ceremonies
- Optimize vendor-supported tools by integrating usability enhancements and configuring settings for productivity
- May oversee temporary or rotational staff (e.g., interns or contractors)
Domain Knowledge (10%)
- Build and maintain expertise in both internal Bain processes and relevant external market trends
- Collaborate with technical product managers to align technology direction with product strategy
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for a product-minded professional with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5–8+ years of progressive experience
- 2–4 years in product strategy, requirements intake, or customer-facing roles (e.g., business analyst or process owner)
- In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies
- Ability to align cross-functional stakeholders around shared priorities
- Strong communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts for technical and leadership teams
- Vendor management skills (where applicable)
- Agile Product Owner certification preferred
- Willingness to travel if needed
- Salesforce certification(s) – in Business Analyst OR Sales Cloud Consultant OR Platform Administrator. Or willingness to pursue certification is highly preferred
U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service, and Bain’s best-in-class benefits package.
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In Georgia state, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $126,000 - $150,500; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
- In Illinois, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $138,500 - $165,500; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
- In Massachusetts, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $145,000 - $173,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
- In Texas, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $132,500 - $158,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
Additional compensation may include:
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, increasing after 3 years and fully vested upon start
