WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As the Product Owner, you’ll join our growing team, reporting to the Senior Manager Commercial Operations, in a key contributor role designed to support the Salesforce platform evolution as it serves the Bain frontline partners and servant leaders in their commercial processes globally.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Product Owner, you will leverage your business and domain expertise to identify opportunities for the platform to address emerging business needs and solve problems while providing guidance and direction to the product analysts on your team. You’ll be an important member of the Commercial Operations team engaged with various platform owners and business groups, collaborating with them to enable a cohesive solution that meets the needs of our end users. You’ll be on point for effective communication with a varied set of stakeholders across a wide range of commercial operations topics.
Be the primary collaborator with the Commercial Operations Product Manager to improve and enhance the CRM platform – 50%
- Translate the product vision into an actionable backlog
- Analyze business requirements associated to emerging business needs & use prioritization techniques to determine which features or products would meet those demands to craft a roadmap in collaboration with the Business Process Excellence team and Solution Architect
- Drive workshops with stakeholders to develop process flows, journey maps and collate business requirements
- Own the User story backlog and its implementation with the support of the Product analyst
- Manage user acceptance testing to confirm new features deliver on business needs and are ready for launch
- Define platform capability point of views and socialize with stakeholders for operational coherence and technical viability
- Conduct relevant Sprint Reviews with the User Advisory Group
Work closely with users, stakeholders, and the broader CRM team to design, develop, and launch new features and functionality - 50%
- Define Training needs along with the Product Analyst and Training team
- Collaborate with external business stakeholders to identify opportunities to extend the platform footprint
- Qualify the product feature backlog in developing the implementation roadmap
- Engage with the Technology Services Group (IT) to prioritize the roadmap in collaboration with the Solution Architect
- Identify select opportunities to enrich user experience through native Salesforce reports and some embedded Tableau dashboards
ABOUT YOU
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or related experience; MBA preferred
- Six or more years of work experience in the capacity of a Product Owner
- Understand Customer Relationship Management Product evolution and its typical needs in a Lead to Cash process
- Exposure to multiple Salesforce Sales Cloud implementations, if from a consulting background.
- Applicants must have strong analytical, communication and problem-solving capabilities, with demonstrated ability to envision the functional solution
- Author functional requirements (user stories) and related Acceptance criteria as part of the Agile Sprint development process
- Be able to disposition triaged issues logged by stakeholders and support staff, in collaboration with the solution architect, and create a backlog for the development team
- Proven ability to operate in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
Preferred:
- Salesforce System Administrator Certification
- Salesforce Sales Cloud Certification
U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In Chicago, IL, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time base salary range for this role is between $119,000-143,000; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- In Boston, MA, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time base salary range for this role is between $124,000-149,500; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
