WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll work closely with local business function leadership, program management/staffing teams, global, regional, and local HR partners, the Global Mobility & Immigration team, Employee Risk Management team, and local office class leads to deliver a world-class employee experience.

 

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
You’ll serve as a hands-on HR partner for the Manager, Senior Manager, and Functional Professional cohorts in Bain’s New York office. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll help shape and execute people programs and processes that reinforce Bain’s culture and values.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for assigned cohorts
  • Advise on performance, progression, feedback, and career development
  • Partner with Staffing and Program Management to drive development and retention
  • Coach leaders on handling employee matters with fairness and consistency
  • Lead employee relations investigations and risk mitigation
  • Coordinate performance reviews, promotions, and compensation processes
  • Support onboarding and integration for new hires and internal transfers
  • Facilitate inclusion and engagement programs in the New York office
  • Supervise and mentor HR Coordinator(s) or Specialists
  • Partner cross-functionally on mobility, benefits, and Workday administration
  • Maintain compliant and up-to-date employee documentation
  • Lead or support special HR projects as needed

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a business-related field
  • 6–8 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a professional services environment is required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive HR matters with sound judgment and discretion
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
  • In-office expectations: Minimum of three days per week, including two anchor days (Wednesday and Friday)


Preferred:

  • Experience with Workday
  • Experience supporting start-up or growing office environments

 

 

 

U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service, and Bain’s best-in-class benefits package.

Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:


  • In New York City, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $122,000 - $146,500. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.


For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level.


Additional compensation may include:

  • Annual discretionary performance bonus
  • 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, increasing after 3 years and fully vested upon start
