WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll be a key member of Bain’s Global Compensation Center of Excellence (CoE), working closely with HR partners, finance, Workday configuration teams, and external survey vendors. Your work will support scalable and compliant compensation practices across Bain’s global operations.

 

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
In this operationally focused role, you’ll help deliver the infrastructure behind Bain’s compensation programs. You’ll act as a compensation data steward and system partner, ensuring that pay practices are driven by data, aligned to market benchmarks, and operationally sound.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Market Pricing & Benchmarking

  • Conduct market pricing for assigned functions using globally aligned methodologies
  • Match Bain roles to survey roles and support consistency across markets
  • Support compensation modeling and benchmarking projects

Compensation Systems, Data & Analytics

  • Manage job data and field configurations in Workday
  • Maintain Bain’s job description and job evaluation tools
  • Run data extracts and build Excel-based models to support compensation decisions
  • Partner with HRIS and Finance teams to support data quality, audits, and system enhancements
  • Help develop dashboards and cross-system reporting (e.g., Workday + Visier)

Salary Structures & Pay Models

  • Assist in maintaining pay structures and compensation grids
  • Analyze internal and external data to inform compensation design
  • Support cost modeling for new roles, locations, or program changes
  • Monitor year-over-year pay trends across markets

Compensation Review & Bonus Administration

  • Prepare compensation data for annual and ad hoc review cycles
  • Conduct data audits, build templates, and test Workday configurations
  • Develop documentation, training tools, and process timelines
  • Provide support to HR during compensation cycles and liaise with Payroll and Finance
  • Track and report on salary increases and bonus pool spend

Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement

  • Support global compensation advisors and HR with scalable processes and tools
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and drive knowledge management
  • Maintain internal content libraries and documentation on Bain’s CoE SharePoint

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support role mapping and global job architecture updates
  • Maintain Bain’s global job catalog and alignment with job frameworks
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and support compensation-related special projects
  • Research new technologies and tools for compensation operations

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • 5+ years of compensation experience, preferably in a global or professional services setting
  • Expertise in Excel (pivot tables, macros, formulas, arrays) and proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and data modeling skills
  • Experience using Workday and compensation tools (e.g., CompAnalyst, MarketPay)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to manage confidential data with discretion

Preferred:

  • Background in compensation operations and job architecture
  • Experience with system integrations and dashboard/report development
  • Familiarity with compensation program compliance and executive comp
