WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work. We are currently the #1 ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have maintained a spot in the top four on Glassdoor’s list since its founding in 2009.

Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don’t happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This is a full-time hybrid role within the Bain Capability Network, where you’ll work with a collaborative team of 80+ professionals in the Financial Services (FS) Centre of Expertise (CoE) —specializing in Banking, Insurance, Wealth & Asset Management, Payments, and other financial services sectors. You’ll work closely with the global FS CoE team, Americas FS leadership, Bain case teams, and expert partners across sectors. This role collaborates deeply with internal and external stakeholders, playing a central part in shaping how the Mexico-based FS CoE grows and delivers value.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

This is an opportunity to be a part of Bain’s FS CoE, based out of the Mexico office. The FS CoE collaborates with Bain's global FS practice with expertise-based IP development, data assets, tools, and client development efforts. In addition, the team works closely with global Bain case teams, Research and Data Services, and Expert Partners to deliver client-ready analysis on active strategic consulting cases.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Manager in Mexico for the FS CoE, you will:

  • Serve as the founding manager in Mexico for FS CoE, responsible for both delivery and team leadership
  • Lead and manage one project/team initially, with a clear path to scaling up to two or more teams over the next 9–12 months
  • Drive delivery of FS-focused IP, data assets, CDs, proposals, and cases in collaboration with Americas FS leadership
  • Demonstrate effective leadership, IP/data assets ownership, and an “at cause” approach to problem-solving and value creation
  • Understand client context, situation, and business problem—translate into actionable problems and ensure timely, high-quality delivery to clients through effective team/project management
  • Develop strong working relationships with Americas FS leadership and case teams through sharp communication, insight generation, and consistent delivery
  • Shape how the team operates by defining team setup, collaboration norms, and delivery cadence in partnership with local and CoE leadership
  • Recruit, coach, and build a high-performing team, with a focus on capability development and long-term retention
  • Provide day-to-day coaching on work-planning, problem solving, hypothesis generation, and consulting toolkit to Project Leads and Associates
  • Deliver performance reviews and build a strong team connection through trust-based relationships at all levels
  • Act as a role model and brand ambassador of the Bain culture

ABOUT YOU

  • Graduate with a degree in commerce, statistics, or a related analytical field, and 6–11 years of experience in consulting, research, or analytics
  • Strong command of written and spoken English (C1–C2 proficiency), with the ability to communicate effectively across global teams
  • Prior experience or knowledge of financial services sectors such as Banking, Payments, or Fintech is required
  • Core consulting experience is preferred; candidates from corporate strategy divisions in banks may also be considered
  • Exceptional analytical and technical skills, with familiarity in market research tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a proven self-starter with strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Experience working with teams and clients preferred
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and solving open-ended diligence problems
