WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
In this full-time hybrid role, you’ll join the Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) Center of Expertise (CoE) within the Bain Capability Network (BCN), a critical part of Bain’s global consulting ecosystem. The ENR CoE supports Bain’s work across the full energy and natural resources spectrum, including Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Utilities, Renewables, Mining, and Agriculture. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with ENR leadership, global case teams, and clients, as well as help build and scale the CoE’s presence in Mexico. You'll also be deeply connected with the broader ENR CoE team based in India, working on integrated client delivery and business development across global markets.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As the founding Manager for the ENR CoE in Mexico, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our presence in the region. You’ll lead case work, drive delivery for ENR tools and products, and collaborate closely with Bain's ENR practice leadership. You’ll also be responsible for establishing team operations, building strong relationships with Americas case teams, and hiring and mentoring future team members.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serve as the founding ENR CoE Manager in Mexico, overseeing both client delivery and team growth
- Lead one core project team with a near-term plan to scale to 1–2 additional teams
- Drive the delivery of IP, client cases, and business development initiatives
- Collaborate with ENR practice leaders to solve complex strategic challenges for clients
- Translate client needs into structured analytical workstreams, ensuring high-quality output
- Shape and define local team setup, delivery cadence, and collaboration norms
- Build and coach a high-performing team, focused on capability development and long-term retention
- Act as a trusted advisor, mentor, and cultural ambassador within the team and broader BCN network
ABOUT YOU
- 6–11 years of experience in consulting, research, or analytics
- Deep expertise in the ENR industry with focus in at least one sub-sector (e.g., Oil & Gas, Renewables, Utilities)
- Hands-on experience with energy modeling, optimization, or forecasting tools (e.g., demand/supply models, pricing)
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a track record of managing teams and delivering results
- Advanced analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel and tools such as Tableau or Alteryx
- Effective communicator who builds trust and delivers insights clearly to senior stakeholders
- Collaborative, inclusive team builder who motivates and develops others
- Graduate or post-graduate degree from a top-tier institution with excellent academic credentials
