WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You’ll be part of our Global Business Services (GBS) Center in Warsaw, supporting Bain’s offices across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This team delivers seamless and professional internal services that empower our consulting and leadership teams to remain focused on client results.
As a Travel & Expense Manager, you will lead a core function within the GBS structure—playing a crucial role in upholding operational excellence and user experience across the region.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The Travel & Expense (T&E) Manager will lead a team responsible for:
- Managing end-to-end travel and expense operations
- Ensuring policy compliance and internal controls
- Driving user-friendly, efficient experiences
- Leading process improvement initiatives and leveraging data to identify optimization opportunities
You’ll partner closely with regional stakeholders, finance teams, and systems experts to ensure consistency, innovation, and service quality in all aspects of T&E.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
In this role, you will:
- Lead the T&E function for the EMEA region from the GBS Center
- Supervise a team of specialists to ensure smooth processing of travel bookings and expense claims
- Oversee compliance with global and local T&E policies and internal controls
- Design and implement process enhancements focused on operational efficiency and user experience
- Partner with global stakeholders to align systems, reporting, and service models
- Provide analytics and insights to drive cost management and strategic decision-making
- Serve as a go-to expert for travel systems and expense platforms, supporting training and adoption
- Foster a strong team culture focused on excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for a skilled leader and expert in Travel & Expense operations, with the following qualifications:
- Strong expertise in T&E processes, compliance, and policy frameworks
- Educational background in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 8+ years of experience managing Travel & Expense teams and services
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach talent, and manage performance
- Strategic mindset with the ability to drive process improvements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP financial systems and analytics tools
- High attention to detail, strong time management, and organizational capabilities
- Analytical thinker with a focus on results, efficiency, and service quality
- Upholds professional integrity and models continuous learning and growth
