Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Provide daily direction, communication, and coaching to the T&E tam team
  • Ensure all travel and expense practices adhere to company policies and applicable legal regulations
  • Conduct new hire support, provide regular performance feedback, and discuss professional development in one-on-one meetings
  • Oversee correspondence, identify unusual trends, build strong relationships with key partners 
  • Review controls on outstanding employee credits and duplicate expenses
  • Respond to escalated inquiries, oversee expense review for internal/external audit requests, and perform other duties as requested
  • Resolve system issues with Global Financial Systems Support
  • Identify ways to improve customer experience through system enhancements and new technology
  • Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the user experience for employees when managing travel and expenses
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire the team to achieve performance targets and deliverables
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment 
  • Regularly assess team members’ performance, providing constructive feedback to improve their work
  • Conduct performance reviews, set development goals, and support career growth for team members


Role Requirements:

  • Deep functional knowledge of Travel & Expense principles, processes, and best practices
  • Educational background in Finance &  Accounting or related areas
  • Extensive managerial experience in leading Travel & Expense teams and overseeing operations 8+years
  • Ability to provide strategic advice, guidance, and insights in the specialized area of Travel & Expense  
  • Experience in driving process improvements / process changes 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach team members effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging and collaborating with stakeholders and senior management
  • Proficiency in using advanced ERP financial systems, reporting tools, and analytics software
  • Effective organizational and time management skills to manage resources and prioritize tasks
  • Proven ability to analyse complex situations, make decisions, and drive results
  • Commitment to upholding company policies and promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism
