Description & Requirements

WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work. We are currently the #1 ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have maintained a spot in the top four on Glassdoor’s list since its founding in 2009.

Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don’t happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll join our EA/MA team in Lisbon, one of Bain’s Global Business Services (GBS) locations. This team plays a vital role in supporting Bain’s consultants and leadership by ensuring high-quality administrative support and operational excellence. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices and regions, often in a virtual or cross-time-zone environment, to drive seamless service delivery.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

In this role, you’ll lead a team of Executive Assistants and Manager Assistants, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to help them succeed in a high-performance environment. You’ll be responsible for building a strong team culture, driving professional development, and fostering collaboration across teams and geographies. As a people leader, you’ll ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery, while identifying opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement. Your leadership will be critical in enabling the team to meet business needs, navigate change, and thrive within Bain’s fast-paced and dynamic environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead workforce planning and team development, ensuring optimal staffing, workload balance, and business continuity

  • Monitor and drive performance to meet KPIs and service level agreements, proactively identifying and addressing delivery risks

  • Manage communication and alignment across teams, cascading firmwide initiatives and reinforcing key messages

  • Drive talent attraction and development, including onboarding, training programs, reviews, and employee engagement activities

  • Partner with stakeholders to run satisfaction surveys and improvement planning, while representing Bain externally when needed

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven people management experience—able to lead a team independently with minimal oversight

  • Demonstrated success managing senior stakeholders with confidence and professionalism

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

  • Skilled in MS Office and familiar with Lotus Notes or Google Calendar

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a calm and diplomatic demeanor under pressure

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working at a senior level in a demanding, fast-paced environment—ideally in professional services or an international company

  • BA or Master’s degree preferred

  • Must be eligible to work in the European Union
