WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This full-time position, based in BCN’s Mexico office, is a part of the Bain Value Creation Center. At BCN, this position will be part of the Corporate Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE) supporting Bain’s Strategy practice. The Value Creation Center team partners with Bain's global case teams and client development teams to deliver cutting-edge insights and solutions around capital markets, valuation, and financial performance. The team supports a wide range of topics, including:
- Financial diagnostics and capital structure analysis
- Shareholder value creation strategies
- Corporate valuation and strategic financial advisory
- Development of Bain’s Capital Markets intellectual property and go-to-market materials
You will collaborate closely with Bain teams worldwide to influence C-suite decision-making, delivering data-driven insights that drive sustainable, long-term shareholder value. You will also partner closely with Corporate Finance CoEs India teams for holistic delivery.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This role focuses on managing team(s) within the Bain Value Creation Center to drive problem solving, work planning, research, analytics, and apply Bain’s consulting approaches and capital markets expertise to generate client-ready insights and solutions. In addition, you will collaborate with Bain partners, experts and Corporate Finance India teams to develop intellectual property (IP), go-to-market materials, pitch documents, and publications. The position reports into BCN Director.
This role focuses on leading Corporate Finance CoE team(s) in the Mexico-hub of Bain’s Value Creation Center to solve complex problems, plan workstreams, and deliver client-ready insights and solutions, while managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead multiple Corporate Finance projects simultaneously, managing team(s)
- Manage Corporate Finance engagements, including shareholder returns benchmarking and capital markets analysis across industries. Key responsibilities include:
- Guide team(s) in conducting financial diagnostics, valuation analysis, capital structure optimization, and long-term value creation assessments
- Develop and commercialize Bain’s intellectual property (IP) around corporate finance topics, including whitepapers, tools, and frameworks
- Understand both internal and external clients needs & situations and adapt to case expectations. Provide story lining, direction and support to resolve complex problem statements and effectively manage client & team, using Bain’s toolkit
- Effectively manage client and team meetings, deliver clear and professional presentations to the team, team leaders and managers/partners/ clients across the Bain system
- Promote cross-collaboration with BCN India teams to support holistic case delivery and facilitate the development of IP
- Implement rigorous quality control measures across all work streams to ensure zero defects and deliver high-quality work
- Communicate data, knowledge, and clearly explain insights and implications for the client to the entire team. Generate and screen realistic answers based on sound reality checks and recommend actionable solutions
- Consistently provide responsible feedback in all interactions; recognize team’s development needs and provide feedback toward continuous improvement
- Being a strategic leader take responsibility of sharing appropriate information within work streams and developing team members for key leadership roles
- Take ownership of staffing and assigning specific workstreams, while monitoring and managing workloads to address and resolve team members overloads effectively
- Identify opportunities to enhance the delivered insights and delivery model with new approaches and tools in collaboration with the global Value Creation Center and Corporate Finance CoE leadership team leveraging new technologies (e.g. new AI solutions)
- Participate and/or lead other office initiatives such as recruiting, training, business strategy, marketing etc.
ABOUT YOU
- Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies – 8-12 years (for postgraduate 6-9 years) of relevant experience in investment banking, equity research, or consulting with capital markets exposure and strong academic records
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, corporate valuation principles and ratio analysis
- Proven ability to connect financial performance to valuations and strategic business outcomes
- Strong knowledge of equity markets to generate compelling insights and equity story with a focus on ‘so-what’
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
- Experience of working on consulting projects or with consulting firms
- Experience in preparing discussions with C-level executives and / or boards
- Experience of leading multiple teams on complex projects
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, communication skills (ability to deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders), stakeholder & team management and project management skills
- Preference for candidates with CFA or CPA with strong capital markets experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of AI and Python are a plus
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, handle multiple tasks and dynamic case expectations
