Our Advanced Analytics Group is a team of experts in data science, engineering, marketing science, operations research and primary research.  You will work alongside Bain’s consulting teams to provide high quality results for our clients, some of the most successful and pioneering businesses in the world. 

The AAG North America Staffing Manager will work closely with the AAG America’s Program Director, Guild, Hub and Ringfence leadership to staff AAG North America’s team members on the appropriate client case teams. 

The person in this role should have an understanding of Advanced Analytics and/or the Professional Services staffing model and a passion to learn more.  This role will require an ability to work autonomously as well as in a team. The successful candidate should have a strong results focus, have excellent attention to detail, have excellent communication skills, be able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and be a self-starter. 


  • Staff AAG case team members in a timely and appropriate manner by balancing individual professional development needs with client needs and the best interests of the firm
  • Engage with AAG team members regularly to understand current PD needs, future aspirations and staffing preferences
  • Manage communication of staffing decisions
  • Understand the Bain case process and how AAG team members contribute to client results
  • Manage Partners, Managers and AAG leadership around staffing decisions – including proactive and thoughtful discussions
  • Understand skills of all AAG North America’s Sr. Associates, Managers and Sr. Managers and have regular discussions to understand their career goals and PD needs
  • Ensure that staffing processes, policies and communications are consistent, transparent, understood and fair to all stakeholders
  • Ensure staffing databases are accurate and up to date
  • Closely collaborate with LATAM, EMEA and APAC staffing managers
  • Manage commitments like vacations and global trainings
  • Continuously improve regional staffing processes and support global staffing initiatives as required


·          5+ years professional experience

·          Bachelor’s Degree+

·          Previous staffing or HR/professional development people experience

·          Excellent time management skills – ability to prioritize and multi-task

·          People management experience

·          Understanding of Advanced Analytics a plus

·          Proven organizational and administrative skills

·          Limited Travel

·          Strong project management skills
