WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will join our ERP team within our Enterprise Technology practice, serving end-to-end ERP transformation for our priority clients. You can look forward to being embedded in teams consisting of other driven and curious Bain staff, working alongside consultants, other tech experts (e.g., Cloud, Architecture), design experts, and software developers, among others. With this uniquely diverse group, you will serve leading companies in every industry, helping them to define and implement S/4 HANA business transformations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Mission
- Implement Make to Deliver processes in S/4, understanding the process end-to-end
- Deliver client excellence through new manufacturing and logistics related ERP insights and by executing day-to-day delivery in a high-quality, detail-oriented manner
- Contribute to preparation and presentation of manufacturing and logistics capabilities for major ERP proposals
Essential functions
- Participate in end-to-end transformation projects focused on manufacturing and logistics specific ERP planning, with additional exposure to other areas such as Procurement, Supply Chain Strategy, and Make to Deliver processes
- Serve as a subject matter expert for clients, offering profound knowledge of the application and incorporating an outside-in perspective by applying leading practices
- Plan, execute, and manage quantitative and qualitative analyses of business processes
- Prepare and finalize project deliverables, including reports, workshop materials, and business proposals
- Engage in project and program management activities, such as reviewing and maintaining project plans, actions, and risk logs; scheduling and leading project meetings; and documenting and following up on agreed actions
- Implement focused change management strategies to ensure stakeholder buy-in and acceptance
ABOUT YOU
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business administration, information technology, business informatics, or related fields
- Preferred: Courses in supply chain management, and operations and management science
Experience
- Experience deploying S4 Hana in many S4 roll outs and focusing on PP (production planning) or MM (material management) modules
- 10 years of technology experience, including 8+ years of experience in ERP /SAP transformation
- Successful track record of managing and growing senior client relationships
- Experience with Consumer Products and/or life sciences
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Deep process expertise in Planning/S&OP, ability to understand the process end to end, and experience in implementation. Big plus if know OMP with integration to S/4
- Experience with client relationship, ability to discuss the bigger picture and challenge the client on your respective process, guide the client on where the biggest business value drivers are, etc. while also being able to go down to details when needed
- Ability to make and drive a plan, prepare workshops and drive client alignment through outside-in recommendations
- 4+ years of experience in ERP transformation programs and at least one full lifecycle focused on manufacturing and logistics management, including warehouse management in S/4
- Ability to use data analytics and business intelligence tools to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization and innovation in client manufacturing and logistics processes
- Familiarity with methods and frameworks, including lean, Six Sigma, or agile, to identify and eliminate waste, defects, and inefficiencies in manufacturing and logistics operations
- Ability to implement tests and simulations within ERP systems for process improvement solutions that will enhance manufacturing and logistics KPIs (quality, cost, delivery, etc.)
- Familiarity with change management techniques to assist the client in sustaining changes to manufacturing and logistics operations
- Willingness and readiness to travel abroad as needed
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, effective collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective leadership skills to manage a small team of junior analysts or experts, fostering collaboration, providing guidance, and ensuring successful execution of project tasks and objectives
