WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will join our ERP team within our Enterprise Technology practice, serving end-to-end ERP transformation for our priority clients. You can look forward to being embedded in teams consisting of other driven and curious Bain staff, working alongside consultants, other tech experts (e.g., Cloud, Architecture), design experts, and software developers, among others. With this uniquely diverse group, you will serve leading companies in every industry, helping them to define and implement S/4 HANA business transformations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Mission
- Partner with client stakeholders to design best-in-class Master Data Management processes and data governance operating models withing S/4HANA business transformations
- Deliver client excellence through insights and execution of day-to-day delivery in a high-quality, detail-oriented manner
- Contribute to preparation and presentation of data and analytics capabilities for major projects and proposals
Essential functions
- Participate in end-to-end transformational projects focused on designing Master Data operating models with additional exposure to various industry-specific challenges and opportunities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for clients, offering profound knowledge of data and analytics tools, developing data migration strategies, defining data quality, designing KPIs, and incorporating an outside-in perspective by applying leading practices
- Plan, execute, and manage quantitative and qualitative analyses of business processes, leveraging data and analytics tools and techniques
- Prepare and finalize project deliverables, including reports, workshop materials, and business proposals
- Engage in project and wider program/framework management activities, such as reviewing and maintaining project plans, actions, and risk logs; scheduling and leading project meetings; and documenting and following up on agreed actions
- Implement focused change management strategies to ensure stakeholder buy-in and acceptance
ABOUT YOU
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, software engineering, computer programming, information technology, business informatics, or related fields
- Preferred: Courses in data analysis, data management, and data visualization
Experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience with S/4 HANA
- 10 years of technology experience, including 8+ years of experience in data and analytics, with a strong preference for specific industry experience
- At least 2 case experiences implementing data processes and defining data governance
- Successful track record of managing and growing senior client relationships
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Understand data archiving requirements within ERP transformations
- Deep understanding of data analysis, database management, data modeling, data architecture, data visualization, and ETL processes
- Familiarity with data security and compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR)
- Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Ability to make and drive a plan, prepare workshops and drive client alignment through outside-in recommendations
- Willingness and readiness to travel abroad as needed
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, effective collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective leadership skills to manage a small team of junior analysts or experts, fostering collaboration, providing guidance, and ensuring successful execution of project tasks and objectives
