WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world’s best places to work. We are currently the top-ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list and have earned the #1 overall spot a record seven times. Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don’t happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will join the Architect experts within the Enterprise Technology team, part of Bain’s digital capabilities practice. In this multidisciplinary group, you’ll help clients modernize their tech strategy, architecture, and systems -- aligning technology with business goals to drive efficiency, agility, and innovation. You’ll develop enterprise-wide solutions, optimize cloud and data architectures, and integrate AI to enable scalable end-to-end digital transformations.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will be a senior architect within the EMEA practice, focused on leading architecture engagements with our biggest clients and solving their largest challenges. This role demands deep Data expertise, strong client advisory experience, and a passion for building Data thought leadership.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead high-impact Data architecture workstreams within large-scale transformations.
  • Architect scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise Data platforms and solutions across clients in all sectors that future-proof the respective businesses.
  • Define organizational Strategies for a modern Data Office within large complex organizations.
  • Establish executive-level credibility and gravitas with senior client executives (e.g., CIOs, E/VPs, sponsors, and architecture leaders), becoming their trusted strategic advisor on enterprise Data strategy, platform investments, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Be a member of a client project Leadership team and communicate effectively with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Lead teams of architects and consultants to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise data platforms aligned to client’s business objectives.
  • Align case outcomes with client IT needs, producing as-is/to-be architecture and migration option artifacts.
  • Define and create demand, then co-create proactive go-to-market thought differentiated Points of View (PoV) for end client consideration and expansion of current accounts.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the fundamental business and technology challenges being faced by clients and how architecture can be leveraged to circumvent the challenges.
  • Set the direction and lead both internal and external teams in multi-million transformation engagements for the largest and most complex client programs.
  • Collaborate with vendors, maintain market awareness, and evolve Bain’s Data architecture point of view.
  • Act as an independent design authority by reviewing and validating Data proposals, evaluating options, and providing delivery assurance.
  • Actively contribute to Bain teams on client cases and thought leadership.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members to build the community of practice among data architecture.
  • Collaborate with leaders of other Vector guilds to ensure Bain is bringing the optimal combination of expertise to deliver results for our clients.
  • Work with the team and other senior leaders to create a great working environment that attracts other great architects.
  • Act as PD Advisor as needed.
  • Lead recruiting of top-tier engineering talent, ensuring robust onboarding and alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives.
  • Travel is required. This position requires regional travel away from your home office/primary working location. Travel frequency and destinations will vary based on project needs and can be up to 50% of your working time

ABOUT YOU
