WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The Recruiting Coordinator will serve as a key member of the Boston and Northeast Recruiting teams, providing administrative support for the Associate Consultant and Consultant Recruiting teams. This role supports the planning and execution of on-campus and in-office recruiting efforts for Associate Consultant Interns (ACI), Associate Consultants (AC), Summer Associates (SA), and Consultants (CON), along with broader recruiting initiatives and programs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Campus Recruiting
- Manage all on-campus and office recruiting activities for one targeted undergraduate school.
- Collaborate with internal school team leaders to develop campus-specific strategy. Represent the recruiting team in planning meetings and provide administrative support.
- Execute the on-campus marketing strategy. Schedule and organize presentations, career fairs, receptions, and dinners. Act as the primary contact between Bain and campus career services and maintain ongoing communication with candidates.
- Oversee candidate selection, track data, and support seasonal reporting and analysis.
- Manage and track the school’s recruiting budget, including expense reporting and annual updates.
- Support MBA recruiting leads by facilitating candidate office visits, which include scheduling one-on-one meetings, greeting candidates, and managing communications.
- Coordinate interviews for AC/ACI and Consultant/SA positions. Responsibilities include organizing and staffing interview schedules, coordinating candidate travel, greeting candidates, leading debrief sessions, and recording candidate information during interviews.
Event and Program Support
- Assist in developing and maintaining the annual AC and Consultant recruiting calendars.
- Attend and support recruiting events both on and off campus, including coordination of invitations, sign-ups, schedules, RSVPs, catering, nametags, and related materials.
- Help organize the logistics for and attend offeree events in Boston. Interact with offerees and ensure all activities run smoothly. This may include overtime and weekend work approximately two to four weekends per year.
- Support internships and programs such as our SA and ACI programs, ADvantage, BASE, CREW, and BEL. Manage logistics including staff coordination, travel, onboarding, training, and events.
- Assist with the creation of the internal recruiting commitments process. Input marketing, interview, and program events into Avature (applicant tracking system), and assign internal staff to events.
- Coordinate and manage Coffee Chat and Case Prep sessions.
- Provide timely and clear communication to consulting staff participating in recruiting efforts.
Logistical and Administrative Support
- Utilize our applicant tracking system (Avature) for accurate and timely data entry, application tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain internal recruiting trackers and documents.
- Partner with the Boston HR team on onboarding tasks, such as managing new hire paperwork, deferrals, and start dates.
- Assist with candidate expense reimbursements.
- Attend team meetings and schedule follow-up meetings as necessary.
- Monitor and proactively maintain recruiting supplies, including marketing materials, gifts, and office supplies.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned or as necessary.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- 1 to 3 years of administrative or recruiting support experience, preferably in a professional services environment
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and organizational abilities
- Comfortable interacting with candidates, vendors, and employees across all levels of the firm
- Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic setting
- Professional handling of confidential information with sound judgment
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Flexible availability, including overtime and evening work as required
U.S. COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- In Massachusetts, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $59,000 - $71,500 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
