WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The LA Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring a seamless employee experience while upholding organizational excellence. This position collaborates closely with the broader West Coast Human Resources team, the Benefits Center of Excellence (COE), Americas HR Operations, and Screening teams. As the primary point of contact for specific HR programs, tasks, and initiatives, the coordinator ensures effective execution and escalates high-priority matters to the Manager or Senior Director as needed. These programs are integral to Bain’s employee value proposition and require exceptional customer service, meticulous attention to detail, and clear communication to achieve success.
Bain operates on a hybrid work model. Our human Resources team is expected to be in the office at least three days per week.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Onboarding and Employee Integration
- Provide comprehensive onboarding support, including welcome emails pre/post start date, I-9 verification, scheduling local orientation sessions, and preparing materials for new hires and transfers
- Partner with the staffing team to assign professional development advisors, colleagues, and transfer buddies
- Ensure all hires and transfers meet immigration and visa requirements and are accurately recorded in relevant systems, such as Workday
HR Programs, Processes and Reporting
- Maintain accurate HRIS records, including approvals and updates for leaves of absence, departures, and transfers in Workday
- Partner with HR Manager to administer programs such as transfers, externships, leave of absence, and business school initiatives
- Discuss program options, policies, and deadlines with employees, ensuring compliance and clarity
- Responsible for employee paperwork, memos, and distribution using DocuSign, if applicable
- Assist with compensation processes, including running, auditing, and labeling memos
Ad hoc HR Support and Collaboration
- Partner with Consulting Program leads and the HR Manager on promotional diligence and other employee-related initiatives
- Collaborate with the regional Benefits team to address employee benefits inquiries and manage related paperwork
- Assist regional Screening teams to administer and track client-required background checks
- Support special office, regional, or global projects as needed
ABOUT YOU
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-2+ years of experience working in relevant Human Resources roles
Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with Workday is a plus
- Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Exceptional follow-up and follow-through process skills
- Capacity to interact with employees at all levels in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient

U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
In California state, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $59,000 - $71,500 placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level.
