WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As a member of the New York Human Resources team, you will collaborate and work closely with our Program Management Team, NY Operations Team, the Benefits Center of Excellence (COE), Americas HR Operations, and Screening Teams. This role requires 4x a week in-office presence in Midtown, New York.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational and administrative support to the New York Human Resources Department reporting to a Manager, Human Resources. This role requires 4x a week in-office presence in Midtown New York.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
NY Onboarding & Offboarding Process For All Populations
- NY HR Main Point of Contact for Onboarding
- I9 Verification for all NY employees & transfers
- Office tour for new hires
- Update local trackers with new hire information
- Send welcome emails pre/post-start date
- Work closely with our Global Onboarding Team & First Year Experience Team to coordinate & streamline the onboarding process for all employees
- Ensure local NY sessions are scheduled
- Maintain colleague assignments
- Confirm seating with Office Services
- Prepare integration decks for supervisors
- Consultant Training Support (Pre-ACT/NCT)
- NY HR Main Point of Contact for Offboarding
- Send departure logistics email
- Calculate departure/transition payouts
- Schedule exit interview with HRBP
- Update local trackers with departure information
Data Integrity
- Ensure our employee lists are up-to-date and accurate
- Update and maintain our HR SharePoint Page
- Work closely with our HR Operations team to ensure people movement, compensation, bonuses, etc. is accurately reflected in Workday
HR Processes
- Preparation of employee paperwork and memos including not limited to:
- Leave of Absence Memos
- Compensation Memos
- Job Change & Promotion Memos
- New Hire & Departure Paperwork
- Performance Implication Memos
- Rotation Memos
- Transfer Paperwork
Promotion Committees
- Work closely with the NY Staffing Team to gather data at the start of a promotion process
- Create and maintain local promotion trackers
- Work closely with the HR Operations team to track outcomes, process bonuses and job changes
Performance Management
- Update and maintain performance management cycle tracker(s)
- Update and maintain performance management presentations & FAQs
- Work closely with each HRBP on performance management across cohorts throughout the year
Other tasks
- Main point of contact for HR for all general HR questions and manage HR inbox
- Process One Time Payments (Broker Fee Reimbursement, Training Stipends, etc)
- Coordinate office-wide HR-related events
- Responsible for ensuring our HR files are archived and up to date
- Organize people news slides for monthly office-wide meetings
- Coordinate service award program
- Work closely with our Background Check COE to ensure client background checks are processed timely and all client requirements are met
- Team with our Technology Services Group Team to maintain local distribution lists
- Ad-hoc report requests that HR Operations Team cannot support
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or as responsibilities dictate
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Minimum of 2 years professional work experience
- Strong customer service, organization, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to deal with highly confidential information appropriately; ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Meticulous attention to detail necessary
- Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- HRIS systems experience (Workday), preferred
U.S. Compensation Information
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain’s best in class benefits package (details listed below).
Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:
- In New York City, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is between $64,500-$77,500; placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- For all other locations, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is commensurate with competitive geographic market rates for this role and will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to experience, education, licensure/certifications, training and skill level
- Annual discretionary performance bonus
- This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation
- 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date
