The BCC is now known as BCN (Bain Capability Network) with its nodes across various geographies. BCN is an integral and largest unit of (ECD) Expert Client Delivery. ECD plays a critical role as it adds value to Bain's case teams globally by supporting them with analytics and research solutioning across all industries, specific domains for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property. The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
This role is centered on supporting business operations through robust reporting, data analysis, and process management. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of internal cross charge, staffed utilization and sharing actionable insights across key business metrics for the BCN offices, aiding decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Manage staffing and internal cross charge databases to a high level of accuracy, including data consolidating and cleaning, owning a variety of monthly reports
- Execute internal and external feedback surveys in coordination with CoE leads/Managers, ensuring data validation as per guidelines, within agreed upon deadlines, and with minimal oversight.
- Prepare and publish dashboards and share insights with leadership as needed and highlight anomalies to guide meaningful and impactful decisions
- Provide staffing and billing guidance and BDPs to business stakeholders
- Prepare, consolidate and publish monthly internal cross charge and staffing data ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Monthly Reporting and Visibility
- Provide support/guidance to internal ECD teams in capturing project level information and resource allocation data accurately
- Ensure accurate resource mapping at Team/Manager/CoE level to calculate the utilization metrics
- Identifying gaps and coordinating with managers to reconcile and update the data in the system
- Assisting team on ad hoc assignments, projects and automation of routine activities.
- Respond to ad hoc requests at local and global levels (as required)
- Creating models to improve efficiency and identifying any leakages as per staffing and cross charge records
- Work on global and local projects and initiatives.
- Execute zero-defect analysis of the database and reports
About you
The position requires an enthusiastic team player, self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team:
- 1.5-3 years of post-graduation experience in reporting, data analytics, data visualization
- Graduate/MBA degree with high academic achievement or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required.
- Experience with BI/reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx.
- Good MS Excel Skill with ability to handle complex data problems.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good organizational and quantitative skills with an aptitude for problem solving.
- Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with the highest levels of professionalism.
- Superior judgment when dealing with highly confidential information
