Who you will work with
Bain & Company is the leading consulting partner to the private equity industry and its stakeholders. PEG (Private Equity Group) in Bain provides comprehensive advisory services to investors across the entire investment lifecycle. PEG expertise spans from pre-investment strategy and due diligence to post-acquisition value creation and portfolio management.
PIT is a specialized division dedicated to supporting the private equity sector and its stakeholders. A key area of focus is harnessing Generative AI to develop innovative solutions that streamline due diligence, automate processes, and enable data-driven decision-making. By integrating expertise in due diligence, operational improvement, and cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI, PIT empowers private equity clients to achieve superior returns and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
What you’ll do
This is an opportunity to be a part of BCN Data business expanding product data analytics area.
The person in this role will need to:
- Data and analytics experience in business intelligence and/or descriptive, predictive, or prescriptive analytics
- Analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills including the proven ability to analyze large amounts of data and synthesize key findings and recommendations
- Work closely with other data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers and UI/UX to build and manage end-to-end data product platform
- Proven experience in building algorithms/scenarios to maintain the product data quality & governance
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail in analyzing complex datasets.
- Validate and apply data quality checks while collecting data from different sources
- Builds reusable capabilities that can be used by team members or across service lines
- Gather requirements and business process knowledge to clean & transform the data in a way that’s geared towards the needs of end users
About you
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in product data analytics with having proficiency with Python and Advanced SQL queries, Stored procedures, query performance tuning, index maintenance, etc
- Experience in Cloud based data platforms such as AWS/Azure, Environment creation and management is a plus
- Experience over Snowflake is a plus
- Experience of data modeling, data warehousing principles is a plus
- Having experience in manage ETL/ELT processes to ingest and transform large datasets using cloud-native services (e.g., AWS S3, Lambda, Sage maker, EC2 and Airflow
- Product data Analysis: Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify quality defects, uncover insights, and propose data-driven recommendations
- A/B Testing & Experimentation: Design, execute, and evaluate experiments to inform product data improvements and validate hypotheses
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data projects is a plus
- Should be a motivated and collaborative team player, who is a role-model and at-cause individual within the team and office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize projects, manage multiple competing priorities and drive projects to completion under tight deadlines
