WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You’ll join Bain’s Performance Improvement Centre of Expertise (PI CoE) in our Mexico office. The PI CoE supports Bain case teams globally across a broad range of cost reduction and optimization initiatives, including Procurement, Supply Chain, Zero-Based Budgeting, and Post-Merger Integration analysis.

The team conducts advanced analytics and develops actionable insights to help clients achieve operational and financial improvement objectives. Using dynamic visualization platforms such as Power BI and Tableau, the PI CoE delivers scalable analytical solutions and contributes to the development of intellectual property that supports Bain’s global Performance Improvement practice.

In select engagements, you’ll also collaborate with Bain’s AI, Insights & Solutions (AIS) teams, working alongside experts in data science, operations research, and supply chain analytics to solve complex business challenges.


WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM


As an Associate within the PI CoE, you’ll work on complex supply chain analytics engagements, supporting global consulting teams with data-driven insights and optimization solutions. You’ll take ownership of analytical workstreams, contribute to client-ready deliverables, and help develop practical recommendations that drive measurable business impact.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


• Take ownership of project workstreams and manage complex deliverables related to supply chain analytics, including network optimization, footprint optimization, and inventory optimization
• Understand client supply chain systems and datasets while conducting analytics and ETL processes on structured and unstructured data
• Identify and apply relevant analytical tools and internal repositories to extract, process, and analyze information
• Drive structured problem solving and develop clear, compelling storylines aligned with Bain’s quality standards
• Collaborate with Bain case teams globally and work closely with senior leadership to validate assumptions, identify client-specific trends, and refine recommendations
• Deliver high-quality, client-ready materials with practical and implementable solutions
• Communicate effectively with BCN teams and client stakeholders across engagements
• Lead individual project deployments and manage execution independently
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions, work planning, and quality reviews to ensure zero-defect deliverables
• Communicate analytical insights and recommendations clearly to consulting teams and senior stakeholders


ABOUT YOU


• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, commerce, business, economics, or a related field with 2–4 years of relevant experience in complex data handling, mapping, and analytics; or an MBA/Post-Graduate degree with strong academic performance and 0–3 years of relevant experience
• Previous experience in a consulting environment is preferred
• Foundational knowledge of supply chain concepts such as safety stock optimization, network optimization, demand planning, and supply planning preferred
• Familiarity with tools such as Coupa Supply Chain Guru (Llamasoft), Optilogic, or similar supply chain optimization platforms is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop pragmatic, data-driven solutions
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
• Experience with analytical and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Python, and AI tools strongly preferred
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with optimization modeling languages or solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress, or CPLEX is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, including Bain managers, partners, and clients

This role is an onsite position and requires working in the office four days per week
