ECD plays a critical role as it adds value to Bain's case teams globally by supporting them with analytics and research solutioning across all industries, specific domains for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property. The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.


Who you will work with

This role is based out of the Marketing and Customer Experience (MCX) team at the BCN in the broader Customer Center of Excellence. MCX team works on building and deploying analytical solutions pertaining to Bain’s Customer Practice, delivering quality analysis and generating strong business insights in topics around Brand, Marketing, Sales and Customer Experience Transformation. The team primarily helps Bain case teams, across geographies and industries, solve critical client issues by applying battle-proven diagnostics/ solutions that can identify client pain points related to marketing, brand, and customer strategy. They also play a significant role in creating, testing, and contributing to the proprietary products and Bain IP within the domain, in close collaboration with Customer Practice leadership.


What you’ll do 

  1. Use thought leadership and sound business judgment to drive their own and their teamlet’s research and analysis on cases across geographies and industries
  2. Able to quickly come up to speed on different businesses and perform research and analysis across all geographies and industries
  3. Help their lead/manager in assigning work streams
  4. Identify and employ relevant research sources and analytical tools
  5. Ensure timely, high quality, zero-defect research, analysis and output produced by themselves, and their teamlet.
  6. Comfortable with driving open-ended research, creating point-of-views, IP creation, survey analytics, showing quick ramp up on new projects
  7. Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations
  8. Generate and screen realistic answers based on sound reality checks and recommend actionable solutions
  9. Communicate data, knowledge, and clearly understand insights and implications for the client 
  10. Assist their lead/Manager communicate with BCN clients, who are Bain teams around the world
  11. May have first level team management responsibility which involves allocating and reviewing work to a small team of analysts


About you

  1. Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies 2-5 years(preferably with degree in engineering / business / economics) and for Postgraduate(preferably MBA) with 0-3 years 
  2. An understanding (or experience) of Customer (MCX focused) topics with an insight into data, metrics and trends covered within this space is a good to have
  3. Experience with any of the following topics is a plus – survey-based tools and analytics, diagnostics, data analytics and benchmarking
  4. Domain Experience in Brand, Marketing, Sales and/ or Customer Experience topics
  5. Excellent problem solving skills to lead the team towards pragmatic solutions 
  6. Excellent project management and team management skills is a plus
  7. Proficient at using various analytical and reporting / visualization tools 
  8. Ability to handle multiple tasks and handle dynamic case expectations 
  9. Highly effective communication skills and ability and deliver clear and professional presentations to senior stakeholders (Bain managers, partners and clients) 
  10. Highly effective coaching and mentoring skills
