WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
Based in Bain’s Indonesia (Jakarta) office, this role works with the attorneys in Bain’s Global Legal Group in reviewing, drafting and negotiating legal contracts in English and/or Bahasa. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review, draft and negotiate legal contracts in English and/or Bahasa, including: consulting engagement agreements,
- confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements, various other types of agreements
- Directly negotiate with external clients and vendors and/or support the negotiation of an agreement acceptable to Bain
- Communicate your assessment of the legal issues in an agreement to internal stakeholders and/or one of the senior lawyers on Bain’s legal team in a clear and concise manner
- Coordinate review and input of other departments
- Review and prepare RFP responses
- Support other members of Bain’s legal team on special projects
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Business fluency in English and Bahasa is essential
- Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of in-house experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Active license to practice law in Indonesia is required
- Experience at global professional service firms, such as consulting or accounting firms, servicing global clients is strongly preferred
- Good academic background from a leading law school
- Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly-developed organizational skills and be articulate, detail oriented and hard working
- Ability to work independently, but within a team-focused environment
- Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint
