WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join Bain’s Legal team, partnering closely with consulting teams, business functions, and senior legal stakeholders across the firm. Our Legal team plays a critical role in supporting Bain’s business objectives while helping ensure compliance with professional standards and managing legal and contractual risk. In this collaborative and fast-paced environment, you’ll work across a broad range of commercial matters and contribute to initiatives that strengthen legal operations and processes globally.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As an Associate Counsel on a 6-month fixed-term contract, you will support the review, drafting, and negotiation of a variety of commercial agreements, including consulting engagement agreements, confidentiality agreements, and vendor contracts. You will partner with internal stakeholders to provide practical legal guidance and support Bain’s professional standards while helping manage contractual and legal risk across the business.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of legal contracts, including consulting engagement agreements, confidentiality agreements, and vendor contracts
- Negotiate directly with clients and vendors to support commercial objectives while appropriately managing legal risk
- Provide guidance to consulting and business functions teams regarding Bain’s professional standards and contractual requirements
- Communicate legal risks and considerations clearly and concisely to internal stakeholders and senior members of the Legal team
- Coordinate agreement reviews and feedback with cross-functional stakeholders and departments
- Support responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives across the Legal team
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to Global Legal processes
ABOUT YOU
- JD or equivalent law degree qualification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements
- Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and contract review skills
- Ability to develop practical and creative solutions to complex contractual matters
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities with responsiveness and efficiency
- Business fluency in Bahasa required; additional language capabilities are a plus
