The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.

 

Who you will work with

This position is based in BCN's Gurgaon office and is a vital part of the Performance Improvement Centre of Expertise (PI CoE). The PI CoE plays a crucial role in assisting case teams in India and abroad with various cost reduction/optimization activities by offering a range of solutions across the Performance Improvement lifecycle right from supporting commercial discussions, cost diagnostics, cost savings, post-merger integration analysis, Procurement, Zero-based budgeting, Supply Chain, and manufacturing diagnostics. 

The CoE conducts analyses on clients' data and generate critical insights to help achieve cost objectives. Over time, we have developed seamless solutions and utilize powerful, dynamic visualizations and charts on various platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to showcase our results. The PI CoE is also involved in creating critical intellectual property (IP) that is valuable for new performance improvement cases globally at Bain.

 

About you

  • Graduate (preferably with a degree in engineering, science, commerce, business, or economics) with 2-5 years of relevant experience, or an MBA/Post-Graduate with a strong academic record and 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to guide the team toward practical solutions
  • Experience in data analysis, project management, and team leadership
  • Hands-on experience in various analytical and reporting/visualization tools such as Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Alteryx will be a plus 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, professional presentations to senior stakeholders (including Bain managers, partners, and clients)
  • Proven coaching and mentoring abilities

 

What you’ll do 

This is a position for an Associate in the Commercial Accelerator (CD) team within the PI COE. The key responsibilities include:               

  • Ability to take project ownership and manage complex workstreams related to performance improvement
  • Understand client’s financial, cost and spend data using P&L and procurement systems to identify cost savings opportunities
  • Get smart on PI Practice toolkit and identify levers/methods for cost savings relevant for the client. Prepare high-quality proposals to support Account teams/ Partners in selling cases
  • Able to quickly come up to speed on different businesses and perform research and analysis across geographies and industries
  • Collaborate with Bain Account teams/ Partners in APAC region and work under direct guidance of senior leadership, to identify client-specific trends, validate assumptions, and ensure recommendations are aligned with best practices
  • Identify and use relevant analytical tools and internal repositories to extract data and analyze information
  • Deliver client ready documents containing implementable solutions
  • Effectively communicate with BCN / end clients
  • Lead individual project work streams with the help of 1-2 directly aligned team members (analysts)
  • Willing to groom a team of analysts and support them as and when required
