Description & Requirements

The role 

The Risk Analyst, Third Party Risk Management will report into a Senior Manager of the TPRM Execution team. The Analyst will be part of a teamlet responsible for the day-to-day execution of TPRM-related activities, and the development and maintenance of TPRM capabilities and will work in tandem with other risk analysts, as well as risk experts. The Analyst would also work with our wider ecosystem of Bain teams, such as the Information Security and Legal t teams who support TPRM activities, amongst other teams. Lastly, the Analyst is fully embedded into the Global Risk Function of Bain & Company and will hence support its global risk management responsibilities. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Execute day-to-day activities of end-to-end TPRM process (e.g., risk assessment of potential Third Parties, onboarding / offboarding process, activation of a Third Party engagement etc.) 
  • Participate in the risk assessment process for potential Third Parties, focusing on reputation, financial health, execution delivery and country related risks
  • Assign custom mitigation actions for all accepted Third Parties following supported risk assessments to minimize identified risks and make aligned with Bain’s risk appetite and exposure 
  • Interact with overall risk management and other support functions (e.g., Legal, InfoSec, HR, Security etc.) to ensure comprehensive execution of risk-related activities such as assessments, managing Third Party contracts, and tracking mitigation actions
  • Verify and monitor the actual deployment of Bain Third Parties (“Activation”)
  • Liaise with key stakeholders (e.g., Third Party relationship owners) throughout the end-to-end TPRM process to provide guidance, transparency, and support escalations 
  • Support reporting activities and process optimizations
  • Pro-actively cooperate with TPRM colleagues and SMEs to deploy new initiatives
  • Other tasks requested by the supervisor considering skills level

 

Qualifications

  • Must have:
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Risk Units
    • BA or MA degree from top-tier university, preferably with quantitative background 
    • Ability to analyze data and drive business insights 
    • Comfort with analytical tools and tasks 
    • Aptitude for practical and innovative problem solving  
    • Excellent communication and listening skills 
    • Outstanding prioritization and time management skills
