The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.


Who you will work with


The Strategy & Transformation (S&T) CoE partners closely with senior stakeholders, including Partners and EVPs within Bain’s S&T practice, and supports case teams globally on a wide range of engagements.

The team works across industries and delivers diverse analytical support, including industry and sector research, disruptive themes, startup ecosystem and VC/PE investment landscape analysis, M&A and partnership scans, digital assessments, identification of key trends, drivers, and challenges.


Beyond case support, the S&T CoE serves as a thought partner in developing impactful points of view on the evolving business landscape and emerging themes. This requires strong capabilities in research, analytics, problem solving, and stakeholder management. The team also supports the global S&T Practice in managing high-stakes initiatives such as CEO Forums and CEO Podcast sessions, which involve end-to-end coordination and communication with senior Bain stakeholders, including Partners, Practice leadership, and external vendors.



What you’ll do 

  1. Work in a team setup, under the guidance of Associate / Project Lead, playing a key role in project execution and driving the team’s overall answer, final materials, client communication, work planning, and team management
  2. Conduct deep-dive research (leveraging various internal repository tools, subscribed databases, online literature/reports, etc.) to produce high-quality, client-ready reports focusing on business insights and actionable results 
  3. Use thought leadership and sound business judgment to drive their own research and analysis.
  4. Take responsibility for assigned work streams, identify relevant tools and sources, steer analysis to create powerful insights, while ensuring high quality of work
  5. Responsibly leverage AI prompts and tools to generate initial hypothesis on the problem as well create solutions that help deliver faster while ensuring the accuracy of the analysis
  6. Wherever needed, build a solid understanding of emerging innovative themes and disruptions and their impact on business models (industry-agnostic)
  7. Understand client requirements and resolve complex issues across work streams, generate and screen realistic answers based on sound reality checks, and recommend actionable solutions
  8. Consistently seek and provide meaningful and actionable feedback in all interactions; recognize different skills and development needs in oneself and work towards it


About you

  1. Relevant experience of 0-2 years for undergraduates in a global professional services firm environment with exposure to business research and consulting.
  2. Identify and employ relevant research sources and analytical tools to ensure timely, high-quality and zero-defect output. Ability to quickly come up to speed on different work pieces and perform research and analysis across geographies and industries in a quick turnaround environment. With guidance, the candidate should be able to provide solid business judgment to derive answers in situations where data is not easily available or explicitly published
  3. Strong preference for candidates with high proficiency in business communication; the candidate should be able to communicate with primary client contact i.e. Bain case teams from global offices in a structured approach
  4. Ability to structure approaches to answer complex business questions, with guidance from Lead and Associate. Should be able to cross-link multiple business models and industries dynamics, using key drivers/KPIs behind operational and financial performance. 
  5. Excellent skills in Microsoft power-point and excel are required
  6. Candidate should have knowledge of using GenAI to generate initial hypothesis using nuanced prompts and must have basic Knowledge of Python; experience of creating tools and solutions using AI will be an added advantage
