Position Summary:


This is an opportunity to support Bain’s expanding proprietary data business, helping to build a new start-up at
Bain to deliver the NPS Prism product, a market-leading customer experience benchmarking service. NPS Prism
creates NPS and episode benchmarks by surveying very large numbers of customers in a given sector.
Customers are asked to identify the companies with which they do business, declare their likelihood to recommend
each provider, describe why, and answer a battery of additional questions designed to reveal experiences with
specific episodes, as well as share of wallet, channel preference, and other important data.
NPS Prism Analyst will work closely with the Prism Project lead and Prism Product Manager to build and deliver
a commercially successful product that spans core sectors across all regions.


Responsibilities:


Essential Functions:

  • Understand various technologies that are currently deployed on the products and improve, rebuild and maintain them over the course of time
  • Strong hands-on experience into reporting, dashboarding, data, automation scripting and basic
  • database querying across domains
    • Analyze existing Python Scripts for performance improvements
    • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
    • Assist implementation of DevOps methodologies through various automation techniques and ETL/VBA scripting
  • Candidate is expected to setup/build statistical and machine learning models to solve complex business problems with limited support
    • Should be familiar with regression(linear/non-linear) and classification techniques
    • Comprehensive knowledge of statistics to understand and explain model outputs to leadership
  • Keep abreast of new and latest statistical techniques, databases and market research techniques and provide input to improve NPS Prism


Qualifications:


  • Work experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience for Analyst
    • In areas related to data analytics, basic database querying, VBA automation and ETL scripting.
  • Education Required: Incumbent should be an engineer from top-tier institute or statistical/analytical
  • course from a tier 1 university
    • Preferred: Concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, Business Analytics, or Market Research is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
    • Hands-on Experience and knowledge of working in Python libraries like Pandas, Numpy etc.
    • Hands-on Experience and knowledge of working in MS Excel, Database querying (any SQL/NoSQL) and VBA
    • Exceptional analytical and technical skills, including knowledge of market research tools, reporting and business intelligence tools
    • Experience translating data into business insights using appropriate data engineering, analytics and visualization applications
    •  Proven self-starter (comfortable with what could be a remote team) with demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills
