This role is an exciting opportunity to join a growing accounting team at a world class management consulting firm. The successful candidate performs general ledger accounting operations for our North America offices, including but not limited to topics such as cash reconciliation, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll entries, prepayments and accruals, and recording of expenses. You will be exposed to a broad range of accounting topics and work closely with members of other teams across the business. You will also assist in responding to recurring and ad-hoc requests, various financial reporting requests, and will be involved in projects and process efficiency initiatives.

This is a Boston based position.

  • Support the month-end financial close process, including the preparation of account reconciliations, input of journal entries, contributing to monthly reporting packages, and presentation to senior leadership.
  • Prepare analytical procedures such as month-over-month fluctuation analysis, Balance Sheet commentary, P&L reviews, and other specific analytics.
  • Represent the company as a highly visible customer service representative serving finance leadership, FP&A, HR, and other internal groups.
  • Maintain controls and documentation over financial accounting processes.
  • Work on various special projects as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • 1-2 years Accounting experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and its associated practices and internal controls.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create and maintain strong, constructive relationships with business partners.
  • An ability to focus on details while maintaining a broad view of business objectives.
  • An ability to learn financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Workday, Tableau) and a high proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Capable of working on multiple projects concurrently and meeting tight deadlines.
  • An ethical individual that acts with high levels of integrity at all times.
