This role is an exciting opportunity to join a growing accounting team at a world class management consulting firm. The successful candidate performs standard accounting functions such as general ledger maintenance, reconciliation, and posting. They gather financial and operating data and assist in preparing reconciliations, management reports and financial statements. 

This is a Boston based position.
  • Reconcile various accounts including accounts receivable and prepaids.
  • Accumulate, journalize, and report on worldwide financial information, including accounts receivable and client expenses.  
  • Review assigned balance sheet and related income statement accounts for accuracy.  
  • Propose monthly journal entries for US and Worldwide offices within efinance (soon to be SAP). 
  • Prepare detailed audit schedules for interim and year-end reviews by independent auditors. 
  • Represent the company as a highly visible customer service representative, both internally and externally (i.e. inquiries from international controllers, Global FP&A, staff, etc.) 
  • Support the month-end financial close process, including the preparation monthly reporting packages and presentation to senior leadership. 
  • Draft documentation of procedures and recommendations for process improvements. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required, CPA preferred 
  • Knowledge of standard accounting principles, methods, and applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate accounting information, policies, and/or procedures in a manner easily understood. 
  • Ability to set up and maintain financial accounts and ledgers. 
  • Excellent written communication skills (in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio). 
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
  • Ability to understand concepts and data flows while offering opinions and ideas for improvement.
  • Ability to learn financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP).
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Capable of working multiple projects independently and as a team.
  • An ethical individual that acts with high levels of integrity at all times.
