Who you’ll work with:
You will join our Technology Delivery team within our Enterprise Technology practice, serving end-to-end technology and digital transformations for our priority clients. You can look forward to being embedded in teams consisting of other driven and curious Bain staff, working alongside other teams on process excellence, architecture, design, and software development, among others. With this uniquely diverse group, you will serve leading companies in every industry, helping them to define and implement business transformations.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Results Delivery Office's (RDO) day-to-day cadence for a high-profile Digital Transformation Program. This role requires a strong leader with experience in managing client communications, delivering top-tier project oversight, and aligning project initiatives to ensure digital transformation goals are met. The Senior Manager will act as a bridge between stakeholders, clients, and technical teams, ensuring that all delivery efforts are on track and consistently meeting client and internal quality standards
What you'll do:
Mission
- Support the day-to-day implementation of technology transformation projects, focusing primarily on the delivery and operationalization of strategic initiatives to achieve significant outcomes and impact
- Assuming responsibility for the entire project and its final deliverables by maintaining direct engagement with clients
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing project management strategies to achieve project objectives, including scope, schedule, and budget
- Focus on delivery assurance to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of strategic recommendations, utilizing project management principles to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of project outcomes
- Improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of clients’ business processes and operations in the context of large tech transformations ensuring tangible value creation for clients
- Drive the implementation of large scale transformation programs to ensure efficient and effective implementation of strategic recommendations that align with clients' goals and objectives
- Identify issues, create hypotheses and execute analysis; translate data into meaningful insights; present recommendations to key decision-makers
- Drive clients to action by developing comprehensive plans to implement strategic recommendations and managing their execution to achieve desired outcomes
Essential functions
- Maintain and drive the regular RDO cadence, managing timelines, deliverables, and resources.
- Develop and execute structured schedules for project milestones, ensuring each phase aligns with the overarching digital transformation goals
- Plan and facilitate client and Bain RDO-focused meetings, including but not limited to business case reviews, progress evaluations, and digital transformation checkpoints.
- Lead discussions to ensure alignment on business cases, objectives, and expected results, ensuring all stakeholders have a clear understanding of goals and progress
- Participate in end-to-end technology and digital transformation projects, solving the most pressing needs of our clients with a key focus on delivering significant outcomes and value
- Establish and implement PMO tools such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, LeanIX from inception, guiding the team through onboarding to ensure seamless project operations and efficiency
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align project management practices with organizational goals and objectives
- Drive continuous improvement of the project management process to enhance project delivery efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
- Monitor and evaluate project performance against key metrics, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and take corrective actions as necessary
- Provide intellectual and thought leadership to the team to ensure the highest quality of analytical and conceptual output
- Identify value creation opportunities in each client situation, ensuring that strategic initiatives translate into measurable business impact
- Manage and ensure execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses of business processes
- Build and maintain consensus with clients on case goals, critical issues, workplan, implications, recommendations, and implementation plan. Develop and secure client commitment to recommendations and implementation plans
- Coordinate initiatives and oversee project management processes, standards and governance to ensure project delivers value according to timeline and quality standards
- Contribute to the key firm building initiatives (Practice/Capability area knowledge building and IP generation, Training, Recruiting, Mentorship, office initiatives, etc)
About you:
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science / Engineering, Information management or other tech-related fields
- Preferred: MBA, courses in digital/tech transformation
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in project or program management within a consulting, digital transformation, or technology delivery environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client-facing communications, with a proven ability to deliver materials and presentations at a high, Bain-quality standard.
- Previous experience working with Results Delivery Office functions, especially in a senior or management role, preferred
- Experience collaborating with other vendors (e.g., IBM, Accenture)

- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices in program management, process improvement, and risk management to deliver tangible results and value through project management expertise
- Proficient problem-solving skills utilizing logical reasoning, creative thinking, numerical proficiency, and adeptness at unravelling intricate technology problems

- Proven leadership capabilities, whether in professional or extracurricular contexts

- Familiarity with change management techniques to assist the client in sustaining changes to business operations
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, effective collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiasm about pioneering endeavours, as evidenced by assuming leadership positions
- Effective management and working skills, fostering collaboration and ensuring successful execution of project tasks and objectives
