WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You’ll join Bain’s Global Tax team, working closely with colleagues across Finance and external advisors. The team supports Bain’s business across Latin America, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations while partnering with internal stakeholders to enable smooth and accurate financial operations. You’ll collaborate regularly with the LATAM Tax Manager and colleagues across the global tax network.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
As an Associate, Tax, you will support corporate tax accounting, compliance, and reporting activities for Bain’s Mexico entity, with exposure to other LATAM countries as needed. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working across multiple tax topics and partnering with both internal and external stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support monthly and annual corporate income tax (ISR) compliance and filings for Bain Mexico, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Assist with electronic accounting, electronic invoicing, and informative tax returns
- Calculate and reconcile income tax, withholding taxes, and indirect taxes under statutory and US GAAP reporting
- Support the preparation of DIOT, Dictamen Fiscal, and transfer pricing filings
- Assist with local tax audits, including preparation of supporting documentation and monitoring electronic tax mailboxes
- Review fiscal documents, including incoming and outgoing invoices, to ensure compliance with local tax legislation
- Partner with Finance and Accounting teams on tax provisions, estimates, and ancillary tax obligations
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in corporate taxation and indirect taxes in Mexico (industry or Big 4 experience preferred)
- Solid knowledge of income tax (ISR), VAT (IVA), DIOT, and withholding taxes
- Experience with electronic invoicing and electronic accounting requirements
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured and organized way
- Advanced English skills
Nice to Have (can be trained)
- Experience with SAP
- Exposure to tax matters in other LATAM countries
- Familiarity with data or analytics tools such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, or similar
WORKING MODEL
This role follows a hybrid model, requiring in-office presence at least 2 days per week.
