At Bain, we want you to feel confident and supported as you consider what’s next and we know recruiting timelines aren’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why we are offering two application opportunities for our Associate Consultant Intern position in U.S. offices: March 29, 2026 and August 31, 2026.

If you are confident that consulting is your next step and you are comfortable navigating earlier recruiting timelines, then the Spring application option may be right for you. Want more time to explore firms, clarify your goals and prepare for interviews? The Fall opportunity could be the better fit. We encourage you to apply when you’re ready, and we’re happy to answer questions as you decide. Please refer to your school events calendar for opportunities to connect on this topic with recruiters and alumni.

Digital assessment: ACI applicants will be asked to complete a digital assessment as the final step in the application process. This assessment is one component of your overall application review, alongside all other materials. No preparation is required, and there’s nothing to study in advance. You’ll receive detailed instructions and everything you need when your personalized assessment link is sent.

Starting on March 19^th, you will receive the digital assessment within one week of submitting your application and will have until Wednesday, April 1^st, at 11:59pm PT to complete. The sooner you apply, the more time you will have to complete the digital assessment. Please note: If you apply on the March 29th application deadline, you will receive your assessment on the afternoon of March 30^th and your assessment must be completed by Wednesday, April 1st at 11:59pm PT – giving you two days to complete Test Gorilla. Please plan ahead.
